zodiacfml, 18 Mar 2017I'd get one for the price of a 3T. You can buy G5 for less than that in most places of the world and it's a better phone than G6 ... why wait?
(I mean better camera in both low light and selfie situations, removable battery, bigger screen with 16:9 content, I.E. with most apps, IR support. G6 is only better in being waterproof)
for me this phone really has a bad design.. its so plain like a brick! how could most of the people like the design., some of the specs are also outdated. sorry but I'll pass this phone

6s beating oneplus 3 . OnePlus 3 is probably faster than LG G5 ...
Anonymous, 18 Mar 2017Please show the link to the speed test, mate. Its just an inference. But it feels like it will. Its just an incremental speed boost and knowing this is lg, it will slowdown due time
My iphone 6s plus(clears throat), which is a 2015 model, could still beat this in a speedtest. From 2015 to 2017(referring to G6), the difference in speed is so minimal that manufacturers are now boosting their sales by sideloading some gimmicks.
MazmuREAL, 18 Mar 2017As I know Nougat would spare only 4 apps running in the background and kill all remaining unus... moreWhat you're refering to is doze which is very much *not* killing background apps, it merely kills their ability to leak battery. So it's the opposite than you think, Nougat actually allows *more* background apps , as without batttery leaking it now makes sense to have most if not all apps in the background.
Anonymous, 18 Mar 2017Yes but for using the last gen chip, mid range camera, gorilla glass 3, and a few other things ... moreAgree with compromises and limitations here and there, this phone should be priced $650 at most
Anonymous, 18 Mar 2017Actual what would kill its performance in day to day performance is not the SoC (which is kind... moreAs I know Nougat would spare only 4 apps running in the background and kill all remaining unused apps after a certain amount of idle time, so I kinda disagree with your first point. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Sorry, but G6 looks gorgeous in my eyes!
And LG once said that we should look for the V series now for LG's best offering, so yeah I think the G6 is not made to compete, it's just made to reap some temporary profits.
MazmuREAL, 18 Mar 2017You have to understand why LG went that way, they need to reap as much profit as possible befo... moreYes but for using the last gen chip, mid range camera, gorilla glass 3, and a few other things they should at least ask a bit less
Brandnn, 17 Mar 2017Software optimization blah blah blah
See that old chips score ?
See that underwhelming cam... moreYou have to understand why LG went that way, they need to reap as much profit as possible before the S8 storms in. S821 will be satisfying for everyday use and run smoothly on most high-end games.
And I personally don't care about the older camera sensor as long as the results are eye-catching and shareable to social media.
And remember, the software is not final so retail-grade software may perform better
MazmuREAL, 18 Mar 2017Hey this phone looks great! the screen looks gorgeous and its also waterproof!!!
But Wait..... moreActual what would kill its performance in day to day performance is not the SoC (which is kind of decent), but the low ram. Just see what happen to 4GB phones when compared and contrasted to 6GB (ram)phones. Over time most apps are cached on 6GB phones, but that doesn't happen to 4GB phones, so about a week in, one is blazing fast and the other is still reloading apps.
This is not a flagship folks, wrap it up. Just call a spade (to be ) a spade. I mean I would love if LG could compete, but they simply can't anymore. It's not just cutting costs, it's improving the looks and hoping that alone would be enough to make a quick buck ... but once real good looking phones would come in the market G6 would be steamrolled. That's an "one month" phone, before long you'd find it in the bargain bin (and only then it maaay be worth it).
Hey this phone looks great! the screen looks gorgeous and its also waterproof!!!
The 'cost saving' moves here is too much!!!
Yeah I agree that $700 is too much. But not because of the older S821 SoC & the older camera sensor, but because LG's region limitations is way too far!
Non-US & South Korean buyers will obviously want wireless charging and those Quad-Dac. Not because they needs them, it's because they would need a reason(s) to pick this phone right away than waiting for the S8 which would ultimately destroy this phone performance and spec wise.
Tanjung perak, 18 Mar 2017You are getting bootloop tooo LOLLooks like someone's getting salty for buying a grey market device and had been rejected for warranty.
non removable battery, pass for this LG G6, just like what happen to my LG G flex 2 battery after 8 months of using, No to LG
ziana zain, 17 Mar 2017g6 has a better camera than s7No, not at all. Even the G4 has a way better camera than the G6. The camera of this phone is too 2014, maybe it can compete with the G3 or S5
