Since p10plus is first to implement the summilux lens, needs more time for Huawei to bring the best out of it.
Both P10's seem to be good. I would have preferred if there was a Pixel in the comparison too!
really a very good comparison'! & the picture quality is superb. Both cameras are same but just a little bit difference in low light, I can say it's hardly noticeable.
"we had them set up on a tripod while taking photos", if you can bring a tripod in your backpack then you could have chosen to bring a professional camera instead!
"With scenes like this one below where you have plenty of detail in both the foreground and background, you will notice that the detail in the more distant areas behind the foreground where we focused manually, is less defined on the F/1.8 camera"
Nonsense, this has nothing to do with depth of field. The P10 Plus has a full frame equivalent aperture of about f/12. Moreover it's a wide angle lens. When you focus at something that is roughly 2 or 3 meters away with such a small aperture diameter, then everything behind it will be in focus, too. You can calculate this.
Is the P10 Plus to be considered a pre-production version?
To me, the ISO performance seems better on the P10 compared to the P10 Plus.
Either than can be the result of the software still beeing in development.
Or it could be that the Plus model uses less noise reduction and less sharpening.
