There are definitely better phones for the money but before everyone starts talking about the OnePlus 3T being so much better or as good as other Flagship phones on the market there's a huge HUGE problem with OnePlus devices - and it's their customer service. Their customer service absolutely positively SUCKS. With Motorola, I call them up, they send me a phone (if there's anything wrong with mine) and I send them back my old one in the box it came in. No questions asked. With OnePlus, even if you manage to get someone on the line you have to wait weeks for them to "fix" whatever's going on with your phone before they send you another. Plus there are little things that are usually not tested for in these reviews. For example, I have a 2016 VW Passat that I pair my OnePlus X with...my brother's wife has a OPX as does my best friend (I got it for him), whenever they pair their phones to their car's bluetooth, including my own, we all notice gaps in BT connectivity, breaks in music streaming and phone calls if anyone touches the phone or its near anything metal in the car. Other phones have no issue. WiFi connectivity is really, really piss poor in my OnePlus X when it comes to range, other phones have no difficulty staying connected to routers in other rooms but my OnePlus X is always the first to drop. I love that my phone was cheap but you're definitely getting what you pay for. Getting the Moto G5 Plus when it goes down in price a bit.
TigerCourage, 18 Jun 2017I hope you are joking. Motorola's software optimizations are very very good. The battery will ... moreStrong wirds for a phone which cannot miracast to non chromecast tvs out if the box!!!
It´s still one of the best phones around. If you´re no gamer and you do a normal usage it´s a great phone! good batery life, pure android experience.
I have huge respect for Lenovo as a brand, but this device for 500$?For what it offers,350$ is top,at least for the badge.Oneplus 3T,not to mention my new Mi6 are way better phones for even less money..
I'd go for the Moto G series phone(s) instead.
Otherwise, I'll wait for that Moto E4 Plus with a whopping 5K mAh battery.
[deleted post]Better buy z play rather than this.. Do u know this is downgrade from moto z play

The battery will last you around 1.5 days with moderate - heavy use (just like Moto G5 Plus). I'm currently a proud owner of the Z Play wich runs 10x better and faster than any Samsung phone on the market now. It recieved official Android 7.1.1 Nougat and that made it as fast as a Galaxy S8 wich has a way superior processor (tested it opening apps and games) and raped the LG G6. Even the 2016 will get Android O, Moto X Play 2015 is getting now Android 7.1.1 wich a Shameshung Galaxy S6 won't get until October probably. Z2 Play is guaranteed to get Android P at least. Since it's also slimmer than the Z Play, it makes more sense to comfortably use any Moto Mod with it, specially that awesome turbo power 3500 power pack, you can get almost a week of battery life with the phone's battery and that mod connected. So stop hating on Motorola and Lenovo, they are doing way better than Apple and Samsung can dream.

$500 for mid range phone. I hope there are enough sane people not to buy this phone. Camera is horrible for something in the range of 500.

Lenovo is a joke. They somehow made the phone worse (smaller battery even though it was a huge feature in the last one) and they have the audacity to ask for a higher price.
Pricey as compared to what you get with OnePlus 3T, Either make Z2 cheap or its mods cheap that will be the success story of Moto Z2 Play.
Modular Concept make pricey but Moto should make Mods affordable.
[deleted post]LOL they praise Oneplus phones too...... those are Chinese
Over priced, over bezelled, under chipped, significantly lesser battery only to make people purchase a much thicker, heavier battery mod add on to accomplish the same thing as last year's model. No way, Motonovo.
I had the Moto G and the Moto G3 Turbo.
The Moto G had the best price-performance ratio I have ever seen on a phone. Android support, multi user, dual SIM. I was sad that the 4G version had no dual SIM. Otherwise I would still use the phone. No doubt.
The Moto G3 Turbo was the complete opposite. No Android update on Nougat even with the same hardware as the Moto X and no multi user. They kicked the phone from the Android 7 list 72 hours after I bought it. I hated the phone so much that I used it for less than a week and went back to the Moto G. Later I went with the Sony XA dual SIM. Not the best choise, but still better than anything Lenovo does.
Since Lenovo bought Motorola, their products just suck. Zero support, design sucks, useless Android roms with less features and the worst of all - their update policy.
I saw the Moto Z in action. The phone was not worth a penny. Moto mods are useless. And this right here won`t be different. You better go with the one year old Sony Xperia Z or a Samsung S7. You will still get updates for your phone. I would not bet on a Android O update for the Moto Z2.
