AnonD-249419, 21 Jun 2017Why should somebody buy a phone which EXACTLY looks like an iPhone? Its like buying a plastic ... moreI would ! Love the iPhone looks, hate the OS. Poor analogy with the cucumber, and U11 looks like shot.
Very dissapointed. I just re-read the xiaomi mi6 review. Stereo speakers, splash resistant. same 835 / 6gb. Same brilliant dual camera setup. Cheaper at 400-500$ where onplus5 is 500eur only us gets it at 479$
Now I realise how good the mi6 is, but 5.15 is not enough for me. Can't wait for mi6 plus official realease. Since mi6 has everything can't imagine mi6 plus what beast it will be. I hope they don't put worse camera on mi6 plus like they did on mi5s plus compared to mi5s
The people who are anticipated for OnePlus 5, there u have it. A camera that is almost not on par with other flagships
Hoffmann, 21 Jun 2017I think the camera is kinda disappointing, for what we expected from OnePlus.Totally. Its strange tho. OnePlus aka Killer Flagship uses dual camera setup but shoots uninspiring photos. Very disappointing
Is the camera kind of worse than Sony? I don't know cos it looks almost the same but OnePlus does worse than Sony
Guys the onplus 5 cheats the benchmark same like 1+3t .... Go checkout phone arena

I think, given it's price, the camera shots are good enough as a quick point and shoot device.
However, I do feel that money will be wasted as we won't use the telephoto lens as much as the normal lens given the current photo quality in this review. Like what I said in the other posts, it's not nice to pay for the entire package when we don't utilize all the hardware.
I still feel that they should've gone with the Huawei route to use the 2nd lens for B&W and combine it with the colored pic... that way, all hardware is utilized.
It is interesting to see that when these Tech websites where mentioned new leaks, all most all the top, mid, and even small tech websites, youtube channels has already got their review units. Within mins of Oneplus 5 launch, Twitter was flooded with Oneplus 5 unboxing and reviews.
This review is not inspiring. Now I won't rush to buy. All I was looking for was better camera. If that's not good then it's price is not justified.
Wow, look at that. The OP5 scored an 83h in the battery test. That's the same score the OP3T posted. So much for that CRAZY-efficient SD 835.
Aloof, 21 Jun 2017SAmsung's do look like painting too, not watercolour, but paint..I know, I have an S5, but it's not so dramatic. If you take a photo of a tree in low light Samsung will sharpen it and adjust it and make it look like small brush strokes, but still OK to look at. LG G6 does that too, most phones with small sensors do, even Lumias known for good cameras do the oversharpening, noise reduction and color-contrast boost. But the OnePlus 5 photo on DPReview made the tree look like a watery cloud, I've never seen something like that. And here, trees and grass look bad even in good light. I was interested in this review because of the camera hype but 3 different websites had similarly bad results so it looks like OnePlus lied.
I think the camera is kinda disappointing, for what we expected from OnePlus.
A good $400 phone, but at the price it's asking for it's no longer a good value.
so this has EIS not OIS?? I'm confused......
The view from an optical 2x zoomed image os different than the view of a cropped image. Its easy nough to see with th right stuff in the frame. Have some object in the foreground and see how it blocks the background diffenently when zoomed in.
Please check this in reviews! We dont simple want higher res shots cropped in. Ots not the same.
Mi6;here i go
MdN8, 20 Jun 2017Good catch, there is no OIS. Also, according to the Ars Technica review, the camera has some i... moreSAmsung's do look like painting too, not watercolour, but paint..
1. I just checked the exif data and it does not state 36mm, but 32mm! So just 1.3x zoom!
2. "We did compare the fields of view of the images taken with the two cameras and, measured diagonally, there is indeed a 2x difference in coverage, so OnePlus has delivered on what it promised."
No, it just means that when you use the second camera it automatically uses digital zoom and other algorithms in order to reach 2x instead of 1.3x . That's why you don't notice much more detail.
wow, i just wonder why gsmarena is so fast to review this brand "which-can-always-make-phone-of the year".
maybe oneplus 3t can make good review last year, but i think they fail this year.. yeah price is the reason, they dont cheap anymore..
