Sony Ericsson K850 vs. Nokia N95: 5 megapixel shootout - read the full textThis year several GSM cameraphones have already reached the 5 megapixel barrier. The Nokia N95 has been out long enough now that it's even got an update - an 8GB version with a larger screen and a larger battery so obviously it will stick around...

i know what is a smartphone & what is a normal phone.
& you can't compare a smartphone to a normalphone
example n95 to k850i

Wait till the Nokia N95 US version and N95 8GB version comes out. It will blow the K850 away. Both of the upcoming N95s will be much faster and the camera and its interface will be more responsive and real quick. Plus, I believe the N95 8GB will have Xenon flash but not sure.

once again humiliation for SE...n 95 is far better, as camera and as a phone, too
k 850- no OS, pity
NOKIA is still no1...if n 95 was only a bit cheaper;)...

Obviously n95 is the wise choice. It is also loaded with some other goodies like wifi where k850 simply lacks.

(Y) 2 thumbs up for u NOKIA (Y)

N95 K850i
EDGE Class 32, DTM Class 11 vs EDGE yes
16M TFT coloures vs 256K TFT Coloures
WiFi 802.11 b/g vs no WiFi
UPnP technology vs nothing
IR port vs NO IR port

Symbian OS V9.2 vs no OS
TV out vs no TV out

K850i is a high end phone. So they should include those features like N95

N95 is a great phone!! but i still preffer the K850... first because it's smaller, beautifull, have the functions that i need (not wi-fi, gps, OS, big screen) these thinks (for me) only sucks battery and performance...

and for last... like 80% the pictures i take it's is low light (nightclubs, pubs, etc...) so a xenon flash is everything to me..

hi all,
dis is ma 1st time to post on this site, ive been checkin dis site for ages, im totally a SE diehard kinda fan, ive used almost each and every model of SE. and there was no match at all for all SE phones with ne other nokia. it all happened when last christmas i bought a w950i , dat phone dissapointed me i switched to p990i within a week after 1 month i lost it and dan i accidently bought a n73 which im still usin it. well n73 was beyond my expectation, dat phone is a one good phone ever made by nokia. now im waitin for SE to launch ne good phone so dat i could switch back to SE. its so dissapointin 4 me not to have a good phone by them...PLz SE make sum good phone....

Without video recording, SE wins 30-29

I think in outdoor test, the editor's not fair.
The Nokia phone get wrong colors & loose details, you can see this pic:

all the persons who wrote comments on both modles forgot 1 thing in sony ericson that this is the first 5mp cybershot phone with megabass, and all remaining features beats nokia n95...

motion sensor (with ui auto-rotate),
xenon flash and 3led video light,
memory card combo slot (m2/microsd)
pictbridge
bestpic™
photo fix
automatic postcard creation
slideshow w music
pocket album – thumbnail
fast scroll
intelligent photo browsing
k850 with much better battery life

and the most important thing to gsmarena owners that there are still few more phones to come in 5 mp batle, like samsung,lg,motorola.etc so this is not the compition between nokia and sony this is compition between 5mp.

and all the persons read this carefully that nokia n95 is not the winner because sony ericson k850 not yet released still under processing.i dont know from where they have taken these photos.wait till k850 comes out and then see who is the winner..

Nokia N95 is way better than K850i.
Without Video recording 26:28.
With Video recording 27:33.
Without Flash & without Video Recording 22:27.

Either way Nokia N95 wins
Nokia Forever

SE, way better, the sound quality.. the camera features.. the size, and it look's incredible.. and the price is lower. a SE model as expensive as N95, will be a laptop..

after all its not a real competition review.k850 is still beta and when it comes out to the market it could be much better than n95 and any mobile phone.

oh Nokia N95 - truly the world's "Greatest Multimedia Computer" even a 'Cyber-shot' branded phone from SE was beaten overall in the camera department! no wonder Sony Ericsson needed to post photos on their official website in Germany and claim that those photos were actually taken by K850 itself but in reality, images were taken by a stand alone digicam! poor SE, CAUGHT LYING by millions of people around the world. wat's more alarming is dat they didn't even use their own stand alone Sony digicams, instead they used a Sanyo S50 digital camera! my GOLLY!

http://www.gearfuse.com/sonyer...performance/

in photography, a larger sensor usually means BETTER IMAGE QUALITY than those with smaller sensors

what more if N82 arrives with xenon flash too like K850?! just imagine..

"Cyber-shot" = marketing gimmick LOL

even stand alone Sony digicams doesn't give us consumers class leading image quality if we compare Sony against its rivals..

Sony digicams juz look awesome but most of their point and shoot aren't really dat great when it comes to image quality

Although I much prefer the look of N95, I was surprised SE didn't win! Their Cybershot Cameras have always impressed me but in this instance I guess the N95 has really delivered.

A very well informed and useful review guys.
