Sony Ericsson K850 vs. Nokia N95: 5 megapixel shootout - read the full textThis year several GSM cameraphones have already reached the 5 megapixel barrier. The Nokia N95 has been out long enough now that it's even got an update - an 8GB version with a larger screen and a larger battery so obviously it will stick around...

Did anyone notice that in the first set of pictures, at the beach and with the huge umbrella, the people inside the pictures are in the exact same positions and postures.

Seems weird to me.

All SE fan boy's have weak mind like SE phone plastic The real competition of K850i is with Nokia N95 8GB which is lot more faster than earlier N95 so time will tell the difference the new N95 8GB has all earlier camera related problem solved except that camera lense cover removed

@louish loh

but its more true. and their review is more complete. just check up the comparation of rokr e2, 3250, and walkman phone. they reviewed it very detailed and so much variable.. its mean they not just talking some bulshit but realy review it...so its more near to the real... i agree that nokia is a good phone, but somehow some people just make it look like it a phone from heaven. nokia still have so much weakness....face it.....

And if you had read mobile-review's reviews more extensively, you'ld have noticed their bias against Nokias and towards SEs.

are all gsmarena crew nokia fans? i saw same preview in mobile-review.com and it said that k850 slightly win in camera quality.

and i also dont believe that nokia 6120 clasic has a very much compliment in the review which what i saw from my self its not that good like gsmarena said (it look like a phone for a dork people from my opinion, the design is just out of date. and the material its not that good).

they also never review rokr e2 which mobile-review.com already reviewed it and compare it with sony walkman and nokia 3250, and perfectly nokia looses so much from SE and motorola. But i never found about statement like that in gsmarena.

and lastly, they also make a rokr e7 like a joke portfolio from motorola which in their news they said about " MOTOROLA E7. HAD A GOOD LAUGH AT IT" which i believe they will never said that if it was a nokia phone. if its not true why they just dont put in on the site and make it like a joke...its not really professional i think....

am i made wrong hipotesis?

wow, why is video part of the review? is it because if video wasn't part of it, then nokia will loose?

it's true that nokia weak on its battery life, but SE also weak on its release date...

on this review, most image capture by n95 is superior, i admire some natural scene image capture by SE is well too. Even the image looks abit gloom but the image feel confortable while i view on that....anywhere still support nokia

GSMArena should seriously put the prototype designation or firmware revision on the phones they review, seriously... it's just stupid not to, and creates a lot of dumb comments from other users.

if SE fans still says: "now the k850 is only beta version/prototype, so nokia fans wait and see the real k850", i will simply say: "HAHA". N95 already been release 6 month earlier, still k850 release date stated (coming soon). Maybe SE already realise they are not as good as nokia, so they need more time to improve and improve again. Yea, go ahead, when the time SE k850 realise, another nokia phone N82 will step on your head..

It is very funny how people say that Sony Cybershot cameras are good... they are probably the worst of digital still cameras... cant compare them to Canon or Nikon, pure mediocre and did I say expensive? products.

Being blinded by the fact that K850 was under it's development stage still Nokia fanboys consider N95 a winner. while in fact N95 camera was already improved by several firmware revisions. and even forgetting another fact that SE has lots of camera modding softwares to boost image quality like the ones present in K750 and K80 and it is expected also to be available to K850 once it's been available. so it is very early to percieve that N95 won the fight.

i like Both N95 and K850i but i like the K850i abit more !

the real Life K850i 1 that will be On sale the Camer will Perform Better !!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, maybe N95 is big as a brick, but isnīt much bigger than k850, and if you think on all the things that it has additionally vs k850 maybe you can understand why itīs bigger

well, I only can say that nokia has made a great job on the development on their cameras. some steps ahead to n73 (the best nokia cameraphone before this) and now it performs better than k850i. I saw the competition very fair, but I really get impressed when I saw the veredict, because SE won the previous shootouts with previous phones (k800, k750, etc). About the looks k850i has a really shape of a digicam, but donīt performs very well. Only the xenon flash is a groundbreaker. But I can say that SE didnīt advanced a lot talking about the pic quality of k800i vs k850i. So this is a shame, more if Sony made cameras since so many years, and to get defeated by a brand like Nokia with only 5 years of doing cameras (less than a half of the time that Sony has making cameras). So for that reason, nokia deserves my respect, for the great development on the camera of its N95 vs a model like SE k850i that has all the support of Sony.
Personally I donīt like the Cybershots (I have an h5 and I think that I get the photos with excess of noise), I prefer Canon.
And to end, for the people complaining about (if the video didnīt count k850i would be better) I can say that the video is a very important thing in a camera phone and itīs fair to compare it too like the still picture capabilities. Weīre not talking about SLR cameras that donīt have video recorder, weīre talking about phones xP

i know what is a smartphone & what is a normal phone.
& you can't compare a smartphone to a normalphone
example n95 to k850i
