I have nokia 5700 since sep 07..i think it is the best handset ever ..there is no comparison with keypad and sound quality..excelent camera with flash..browser is great..i think nokia made it with great care and concentration..its sporty looks and design makes it a real stylish phone..the twisting feature places it at the top..it is not like N series that i think should be thrown in basket looks like out dated tv remotes..so guys 5700 is recommended..the best phone.

About firmwares yeah they're very limited, I'm still stuck with 3.27 and I doubt some day I'll be able to update it. That's the only issue I can say about 5700.

i actually loved this handset until i heard just after a few months of its release nokia have stopped the production of it , and now the people who brought it are lost unable to find accessories or headsets , casings to the phone . then the nokia official web pages were removed from almost all the nokia web sites saying those pages are under construction . those pages never came back . the only official nokia web site that still have the product review page is the nokia india web site all the other web sites contains only the product update and software manual pages for 5700 . also they just released only a very few firmwares after the releases of the phone and those were limited to some countries . suddenly nokia 5700 is thrown away like it got released 5 - 6 years ago which is not .

It seems like they just made this phone to test it using customers. After the phone was released it didn’t even take one year (in my guess) for nokia to stop producing this wonderful phone. now that customers who brought this phone suffers from limited or no more 5700 casings keypads and accessories not even headsets . Other web sites only hold product update and software pages. It almost seems like they started to treat the phone like it’s been released 10 years ago. Secondly some people said that the production of the 5700 was stopped because of the release of nokia 5610 xpress music and other related handsets of the xpress music range. but those are way too lower in options than the 5700 and only the 5610 got to the upper level only by its camera and new sliding menu button but in the end what i saw is that the gsm arena review page for the 5610 filled with users of it complaining about signal problems crash problems etc (just like the s.e. w580 at least on w580 only the keypad cracks). For now I'm really happy with my new s.e. k850i. I’m thinking of staying with s.e. for a while until u make up your mind. people need a exact phone that lives up to the hype for a few years with the product pages and all the basic options - they don't want too many applications they just want battery life, what they want is good camera quality on their favorite phone model and music quality through the headset plus with the screen clarity whatever pixels or resolution the display is.

hey all guys,i have nokia 5700 and nokia 5610 and belive me nokia 5700 v v v better than 5610 it's more strong ,nice shape,v v loud sound,v loud in calls ,im really didn't find any bad thing in nokia 5700 ,but nokia 5610 have alot problems same like v low sound,the phone not strong (when u carry it in your hands u feel that)and .....,in finally 5700 are the best ,thnxs guys

Hi, I've got the nokia 5700 and it's really cool the sound is great: it's crisp and loud and the earphonrs are really good too! The camera is really clear and the video tops the nokia n95!. The camera is not great at night though, even using flash and night mode. The screen is really big, colourful and clear and I love to watch music videos on it. The twisting base is a nice feature too.
I love the 3g aspect and the speeds are good. Another thing is it has a flash and real player and you can download podcasting and other software from the nokia website. Overall if you love music, video and fast internet this is the perfect phone

I have to disagree with you guys a little. The phone is anything but durbale: mines covered in knicks and scratches on thw white plastic. And the screen is a b*tch to clean, and I'm constantly doing so.
