Nokia should have retained the original flavour of N-Gage with no-camera IMO. Or they should have release to version: 8GB non-cam or cam w/ microSD up to 4GB.
Not many need the camera when it comes a gaming device(think DS or PSP) but then again it is a mobile so the camera should be made an OPTION. Throwing in a mediocre 2MP camera is just levitating the price tag and may turn off many ex-N-gage fan like myself(personally loved the Classic N-Gage very much)
The old N-Gage wowed the world cos its a the first gaming device running on Symbian(Smartphone OS), had Stereo Mp3 even though almost every other mobile had Mono output and there was Radio which at that time, was quite something to talk about.
But Today, i can only see it running side by side an N91 8GB with a updated screens and better ergonomics for gaming purposes. The wow-factor bubble had burst. Keep the price down and it may attract non-PSP, DS gamers or even those who wanna own multi-platforms.

for me, the cam is just ok, & after all this is a music & gaming device. there is a cheaper version of N81, the one w/ a card slot. if u want a camera centric there's the N95 & N73 that also support N-gage gaming..

YAY! This surely cost alot!!! I like this but why does NOKIA Put 2MP Cam instead of a 3.2MP autofocus one?
I hope NOKIA Release an N81 which has a card Slot instead of an 8GIG Built in memory and a 3.2MP CAM with Autofocus and a CarlZ optics. (This Build surely dont cost to much like the 8GIG version of N81 and you get the most of its function!!! Am I right?? or Am I RIGHT??? ^_^)

Nokias made some good features on the N81 ,like for gaming being playing in vertical view an the top buttons added to move the contol up an down, but the 8gb of memory really will boost the price of this mobile so with only like gsmarena say only a 2mega-pixel camera an no auto-focus this will keep alot of people prefering to get the N81,but you now what Nokia will do release a improved version after the first batch putting a 3 mega pixel camera on it an just a card slot instead so i will keep a good eye on the price the first batch from Nokia
