Samsung G600 review: Slide and snap
Samsung sets two contenders running for glory, with two 5 megapixel newcomers on the cameraphone market. The Samsung G600 was first to be announced, and had the mobile community astir. Featuring quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, a...

Good alternative to new Nokia 6220 Classic?
Same size, both 5 megapixel, both relatively low priced.
What surplus does Nokia in reality offer with restr. smartphonecompetence (symbian)3G and double speed VGA-video?
Or surplus for Samsung in handling ans build quality ?

great phone. slim, stylish. nice camera.
and the most important - customization. If you know how to flash a phone you can apply patches to its firmware like eco display mode, java in background, menu navigation speed-up. And you can flash your own themes and fonts. But one thing - you need a special "unlock" cable and when you flash it with modded firmware you loose warranty.

It's absolute rubbish, you can't change sms ringtones(after flash plays only 6sec), only 10mb max for ringtone, no picture preview every time You have to go back in menu and chose another picture, camera works so slow... there is too many bad things in that fone.

So what if Samsung always look the same, - who cares as long as it works ?
I need a relaible stylish phone which the G600 has proved to be, and the other features are a bonus.
10/10 Samsung.

I dun really like G600 in terms of the design. The design is just the same as with other Samsung sliders, not much of a variations; the usual circular D-pad, the same buttons design... It's just too boring for me.
Other than the design, i think the other aspects of it should be, well, normal? If G600 had a more better design, other than the damn bulky G800, I might just consider this over Viewty...

Samsung G600 is a slim slider, stylish, exectitive look, clear LCD, 5mp, 16M colour, FM radio with recording, it's a great phone! It uses new software, an improved verson after D900i. I hard use 3G, so it's fine for me without 3G. LCD flash works fine for me, if I want to take really nice photo, I would rather use a digitial camera with 8mp or above. To me, a phone is a phone. It has to be easy to carry everyday, stylish, slim and not heavy and packed with practical features, Samsung G600 make it. So what Samsung G800 has xenon flash, it is fat, thick, bulky! If you ask me to carry a "camera" like in my pocket everyday, I rather leave the phone at home. Question: How often do we take photo everyday? No right? Hence, as long as the phone has 5mp, a LCD flash is good enough. 3G is not a must - why? How often do we use video call? everyday? every hour per day? Not common to many of us. For those who don't use video call often or hardly travel to Japan or Korea, 3G is not a must. Why buy a 3G phone when you don't need the function? Unless, you need it, than buy a 3G phone.

@850i
You mean something like Z710??? that's quite old design my dear. It's time for Slider now and the future is in touch screen.
Infact Varizon Wireless recently released a CDMA verson based on that in US called U900.

I don't think Samsung will produce such thick-brick N90 or N93. Please have a look at the Samsung page here and you will notice plenty of different form factors. It seems your hatred is personal and something to do with your taste. Peace!

I really hate Samsung. they always use the same style and design. there are only 10 percents samsung users here in Finland. they should come out with some interesting design.....like n93 or n90.

I don't have a problem with this phone... it seems realy ok.... I just don't like a comment in the test: "The most unique thing about the FM radio application is that you can actually record programs with it - we've never seen a feature like this in a feature phone." ..... may I remember some phne users tio the Nokia 5510 and 3300...... how many years have past since those phones??????
