Am a proud owner of the Nokia e61. And am Lovin It.
but still I think it would be better if I mention the pitfalls that i have noticed.
- Heating during talk time (i used it on a call for 50 mins continuous and it was real hot)
- the phone warms up during charging also
- There is no USB phone charger facility
- Bad media player.
On the positives front
- Wi-Fi is just amazing on this. In combination with an application like fring.com, its an ultimate chat engine.
- Really cheap compared to phones in the market with similar features
- The phone does display the "Now Playing" song in the main screen(unlike mentioned in the review)
Could have built in
- the voice command feature is good. But a feature where the user records his voice and the system opening the corresponding application would have been better. No accent problems.

The is an excellent phone and even after being extremly thin it feels quiet solid in the hand.
I just wanted to highligt a feature which I feel most the reviews are missing. This is the "offline profile" or "flight mode" feature as it is called in a SE. Once you put the device in the offline profile you are cut off from your service provider completely. This is a very useful feature for a buisness oriented phone as you can continue doing some work on the mobile (it supports MSOffice) or listen to music (but not radio) etc.

Overall, this is a really good phone that meets my needs especially the connectivity features.
After looking at the specs on this new handset, I wonder Nokia will be taking on board the disadvantages of the key features for the next generation, E52. Nokia please develop the next generation flag-ship model in the E-Series.
How about GPS for the conservative & businessman on the move?
What about a Bluetooth keyboard as a accessory included as a complete package, that will certainly put hearts racing for the businessman.
Blackberry connectivity & dedicated Skype button?
Main disadvantages;
2 megapixel camera with no autofocus, nor flash
Extremely hard-to-press volume rocker, power button and voice recorder key
Stale multimedia interface
Cannot edit office documents
Doesn't charge when connected via USB
Voice dial works well only with English names

It's a Great phone. But have the following dissadvantages:
1- I has No front Camera for Video Calling.
2- No flash on the back camera
But it's overall good for users which don't use video calling.
Also price is good

Please GSMARENA can you do a comparison between the Nokia E51 and the (don't laugh) BenQ E72 which has the Windows 6 operating system?
Nobody has yet compared Symbian OP with Windows OP systems. Be the first!
These 2 phones are almost clones except for OP system.

Very nice phone to use. Quicker than E50 and it has more comfortable keyboard. But several things are wrong. Side buttons are too hard to push and vibrating alert is weak, you can barrely feel it in your pocket.
I can recommend it to anyone how is looking for a quick and firm phone.

...But will it pair/connect with BMW and similar car kits - unlike ALL the other E series and Symbian Nokia's?!

I would like someone to confirm that there is no forward/rewind option in real player here. I use Nokia e65 with pretty much the same player and there are these options available. You just need to pres up/down joy buttons.
Cheers :)

Here's the little trick that solves the problem of voice dialing:
Add a new detail: "Nickname" to your contacts and use the feature of new Symbian, that automatically replaces stored voice command with this nickname. Now with the little practice in writing nicknames PHONETICALLY you can easilly meet your own language requirements. You can check the pronounciation of the nickname via built in voice synthetizer, keep editing until you are satisfied with it. When you are finished editing you can voice-dial your contacts by saying the nickname in your own language. I am using this on my E50 by calling nicknames in Serbian, which is completely different from English...
