> In reply to Bharat @ 2009-07-08 05:30 from v{WYMay be your problem is due to your phone memory is full, try to free some memory from phone. If it doesn't work then try to reset your phone by pressing *#7370# in standby mode but before doing this make a backup of your important content. And GPS is a free service you never have to pay anything to use gps.Only you have to pay for the use of nokia mobile maps software for its voice navigation feature. You can use google maps instead which is absolutely free app and more feature than nokia maps only lacking voice navigation but a cool app. .

Hi guys, plzz help me out here. Got my Nokia N82 about a week back. Was running fine till today morning. I got up and tried to change my profile from the shortcut in the standby mode. It said "Stand-by memory full. Please close some applications first". To my horror, i realized that no shortcut was working. And even if i went inside the menu and tried to get into some application it gave me the same error message. The prob was solved wen i restarted the phone. But it still freaked me out. The funny thing is I checked for open applications by long pressing the menu button. But there were none. I always close all open applications correctly. Then why this prob??I'm afraid it'll re-occur.
Also I am totally GPS ignorant. I tried starting the Nokia Maps thing a few times. But nothing happened.Plzz tell me all about GPS, charges involved etc.Thank you.

In the 5th page, 2nd parag.
"searching tracks by gradual typing is also available.
"Transferring tracks to Nokia N82 can be achieved via..."
You guys missed to mention via WiFi :)
I use with to transfer data/music and stuff/
much better than BT or cables

Below average GPS performance?
I think the area where GSMArena is installed is not the best to use GPS.
My N82 GPS connects very fast oO
it kinda makes me have the fear of it.

I had my N82 for almost 2 years now. I very pleased with the way it performs. Average battery life and a very decent night camera that really out gun any kinds or types of phone out in the market today as of 2009. i am still waiting for a worthy phone that can beat n82 for night shot quality.

Unfortunately, N82 is expensive...so sad. With the same amount of money, we can have richer feature of other phones. I am a Nokia fan thou and my dream is to have this one someday when it is getting cheaper and cheaper.
Sad Fan...

> In reply to Mark @ 2009-02-11 19:26 from uWAsHello Mark its quite natural to have such thoughts seeing this phone in picture. I also used to think so & I was worried to buy it. But the keypad is not so bad as it looks in the picture. You will be habituated with it in only 2 days. I don't send too much msg in a day so I don't know howz the experience of sending a lot more msg. But I never felt any problem while writing any msg. So don't worry.

Hi,
1- I heard that N82 is made in china under Nokia licence. Is the quality the same as the original one?
2- Normally according to the Nokia key pad pattern, the numbers 3,6 & 9
are at right side of key button, but in market I saw some N82 that the 3,6, & 9 are at left side of key button. Is it ok or it is sign of fake product?

Hi can anyone let me know about its keypad. I've heard that the keys are hard to find n hard to press. A few messages in a day will leave your thumb sore. Is it true guys?
Secondly, what's the trade off in terms of Camera performance if i opt for N79?
Regards
Mark
