Nokia N82 review: Comes with xenon
Nokia N82 is considered the next N-series bestseller and, guess what, it has already hit the shelves. Following the sweeping success of Nokia N73, it was a pretty sure bet that a worthy successor wouldn’t take long to appear. As we see it, Nokia N82 fits...

GPS is much faster than the n95. Under 20 seconds... sometimes between 5-10 seconds... Much better.

What the heck are these negative comments in the review about the GPS, it's VERY good, picks up on cold start quicker than my Sirfstar III, and when you get a first lock it will evenb stay strong withing my house! And that'non-assisted!
HERE IS A LINK TO MY REVIEW: http://forums.overclockers.co....p?t=17816282
it is the BEST phone I have ever used... you simply have to use it to believe how damn good it is, I am am NOT a Nokia fanboy! Battery life is also excellent!
As for how it looks... i'm a techie I dont give a damn if it doesnt look like a supermodel, its functionality that counts, and the buttons are a dream to press and text with, I rarely ever make mistakes like I did with my old N73!
Read my review, the GPS is 100% fine, I have tested it fully using the new garmin Mobile XT software, it never drops below 3 bars. Garmin is the only app ive used that supports it, Tom Tom does not at the moment, though version 7 will fix this.
I ewould give this phone 9.5/10.

I'm not gonna tell you what to get like other people do but I'm gonna ask you a few questions to help you decide.
What would you use your fone for the most?
Business or pleasure?
Do like to take photos on a point and shoot with good quality?
would you like to browse the internet and read your emails.
Would you like to use GPS?
Would you like to expand your memory upto 32gb with the use of Micro SDHC?
Would like to use blutetooth stereo headfone not just headsets?
Would you like to open office documents that are attached to you emails?
Would like to browse the internet via wireless LAN?
Would you like to make free phonecalls with the use of SIP with services like "voipstunt.com"?
Would like to take pictures in the nightclub or in low light areas as a point and shoot camera?
Would like to expand the possibilities of your phone by installing applications?
Would like to have the possibilities to play N-Gage or graphic intensive games?
If you have answered "YES" to 5 or more of these questions look no further.
I have this phone for well over a month and I have used SE and this phone is well worth the money.
Goodluck with your decision!

To All,
Please read!!! This phone can take micro SDHC upto 32gb when available. Currently, on the market the highest availability is 8gb. I have one and it works without lag.... The interface is still fast.
The interface is an absolute pleasure!!! What more can I say....
Camera is the best N-series phone has produced... Hence I have said "N-series" and nothing about other brands because I cannot comment. The Xennon flash is superb. Night/Club shots is flawless for a "point and shoot" its not a SLR but for a low end camera its perfect... I say "low end" because it is not in the same pedigree as the big brands like Canon and Nikon. Taking pictures with this is a pleasure in comparison to all camera phones I've owned... and its alot, not only Nokia.
In comparison to N95 vs. N82 its really about bar vs. slide they are practically similar in specs. I personally would not get the N95-8gb cuz its a waste of money. I'd honestly wait for the 16gb or 32gb cards to arrive.
For those people commenting on the design. This fone is generally for tech savvies therefore design is not entirely important, its personal preference. Whats more important is that it feels good in the hand and its intuitive to use. Personally the design is fresh, simple. Again, this is a personal preference and each to their own!
For those who are deciding, I recommend that you go to a shop and test run it and decide there.
Oh just another thing about GPS.
I have Google Maps and Nokia Maps working... it also works with 3rd party GPS software.
I have also got it working with Tomtom and its works with a external bluetooth GPS module. It cannot work with the internal GPS receiver due to that Tomtom do not support this yet.
I honestly would wait for Google Maps to improve I'm sure they will have voice activated soon. Its a questions of research so watch this space.
A true all-in-one phone, Swiss Army Phone.

I am a big fan of BOTH Nokia and Sony Ericsson (HATE Motorola), and am always split between the two when it comes to purchasing. I currently own a W800, and I blieve it is the best phone made in a while, despite its age. I honestly do not believe that you can fairly compare the K850 and the N82. They are both extremely good phones, but the N82 is a 'smartphone' and the K850 is not. The N82 would have more features simply because it is designed (and priced) to do just that. The N82 has Wi-Fi and Document viewers because it is geared towards a more business oriented customer. The K850 is much more casual with the luminescence and the design, geared towards a casual market. The SOLE basis for comparison between the two is the camera, and the N82 does outperform, but it is also much much more recent. You wouldn't compare the RAZR with the W890 would you? Finally, it's stupid for people to claim that SE is better than Nokia or vice versa, worse yet to call someone stupid for their preference. Neither is copying the other, and even if they do...so what? All brand names products copy one another, from fashion to vehicles to computers to cell phones. It is not even remote that they all collaborate. So everyone just needs to chill out and buy a phone based on what you are looking for.

@timbob1978
Ya agree but not fully, Symbian on N73 era seems to be quite unstable, kinda like Windows ME, good offer but unstable. However the newer N95 starting to feel much better and slowly Nokia will get rid of the dark period and I'm pretty sure the era of Windows XP will be coming soon.
PS: Don't tell me MAC is better than PC or something like that, XP is as stable as MAC if you know how to and sometimes MAC is more unstable than PC.
