Nokia N82 review: Comes with xenon
Nokia N82 is considered the next N-series bestseller and, guess what, it has already hit the shelves. Following the sweeping success of Nokia N73, it was a pretty sure bet that a worthy successor wouldn’t take long to appear. As we see it, Nokia N82 fits...

i think this is really a successful mobile. at the beginning i still concern about the price, now all aspect of time, brand and market demand is match and it is time for N82 to get the title of "mobile of the year" during 2008.
i saw a chinese mobile website, they using n95, n95-2, g600 and n82 for a competition. just amaze me the n82 really did a great job. try check out through http://www.163.com/

Excellent looking phone. My phone will be arriving in around 2 weeks; the wait is just murder. In the mean time, I can drool over all those features.
I'm upgrading from an N70 so I'm looking forward for a positive outcome.

@radical85
Yeah agreed, even Nokia fans would hate the design. Hope the silver coating peel off horror won't happen to all current N82 users. I better stick to my N95 although xenon will be real handy anyway when going to night party. Maybe a better design by Nokia in the future.

N82 much better than K850 or Any SE phone,
N82 has 5 mp camera n very good quality than SE.
it has better sound quality, big bass n loudspeaker, SE too much noise n no bass at all, crappy.
n82 has symbian OS n can install java apps, SE can not do like that b'cause java OS.
Nokia has better perfomance,
Nokia used phone has better price selling than SE,
what else....? Nokia is the WINNER

Harlekkin:
Wrong. Software can never do as good of a job as good hardware. You can try to adjust contrast levels, but you get noise in Photoshop. De-noise despeckle all you want but in the end it's as good as plugging up the noise by adding your own taste into the photo. You're not dealing with the original photo anymore. Good quality flash performance is key, and as an SE fan I have to say I'm clearly disappointed and I'm still struggling between the K850 and N82.

@Harlekkin
Yes but read the comments earlier. It could be ISO level, processing, or just software problem. However, think, what's the most important for casual shots? You wouldn't want to take night party shots and then when people are leaving and asked for your photos then you said wait I go back home to photoshop them first people will be pissed off immediately! Even both are equal at xenon shots, but Nokia has made casual shots more convenient than K850, so until SE came out with a better firmware, Nokia wins at this time. Sorry to disappoint you. :)

If the design of this phone was abit better, it would of been perfect.. Anyway, I like the phone very much but it doesn't look hi-tech or cute, and the first thing I look at before buying a phone is the design.. but I'm sure there are many other people who likes the design.

N82 vs K850 XENON flash
=========================
Personally I don't even think the XENON flash on the N82 is as strong as they make out to be.
If you compare the K850 and N82 flash shots you'll notice that the N82 is a LOT noisier. This is due to higher contrast and color levelling.
If you take the K850 shot and edit it in Photoshop by adjusting the levels, brightness and contrast you can closely recreate the N82 image processing.(notice how the noise becomes stronger too)
So I think it's a software setting rather than the actual performance of the flash.
Still not bad though.

@YY
sorry dude, but this questions was really silly, don't you think?
http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/N82 (it states 5, not 2)
And if you had a look at the pictures and their size, you would SEE clearly that it's 5 megapixels.
Do a bit more research next time before you ask.
