Those reviews mean nothing. You have to conduct a long term assessment of a handset to fully determine its strengths and weaknesses which only be revealed during daily use. Thus the design faults of the 6500 Slide are not sufficiently addressed here (Sliding mechanism, battery compartment, keypad, OS).

i was planning to buy a 5610 but after finding out about the problems with the 5610 i change my mind to get this phone. it looks like its got a better camera and it look simpler and cooler. gonna buy a 6500s. bye.

I have both Nokia6500 full black & nokia express music 5610, but for me i choose N6500 and the N5610 i give it my GF. N6500 is smaller than N5610 and most of cute looking.
to i suggest N6500...

Does anyone know how to switch off the camera shutter sound. It even stays on in silent profile

i have had this phone since the relise and i think it is one of the finest designs from nokia it just works i have had the n series and they all just frezze or have softwear problems its not the best camera you can get it does not come close to the k850i my previous phone but that has alot of problems with the touch screen it just keeps stop working and you can not access anythink on you phone because you unlock it by the screen the 6500 its just so much easyer and much more comfort when in my hand no fancy touch screen to stop working or no camra protector to stop moving along i highly recomend this phone but also recomend downloading the latest softwear version whitch is free from the nokia web site and this stops the phone reseting its self when iyt feels like it and the max external memory is 4gig i think i will just hang on to this phone till the 8 mega sony ericcson c905 comes out or if any one can recomend anythink better i would be graetfull i hope this post has helped!

hey. want a 3.2mp cam wid nice music options .. but most importantly a sturdy and hassle free fone... thinkin of sonyK790 and 6500 slide.. but cant decide.. plz help..

could anyone confirm the expandable memory card capacity of 6500 slide that is maximum 4 GB or 2 GB ?

hi ppl out there!!! I am a bit confused as to purchase the 5610 xpress music of the 6500 slide??? the both have almost the same features but the disadvantages that u ppl had said worries me. so i am still unsure which to purchase. can anyone pls advice me??? thanks!!

I bought this phone this weak and I saw it very nice which gives you the sense of the modern design , voice quality is better than my old k750 , but the camera although it is 3.2 m.p but I can notice some kind of... I don't know .
the only bad point is about what I heard from user openions about keypad scratches but I think that you can fix the error by putting a stick over the key 2 to avoid the problem .
well...at last I am happy with it and I think that you should try it

of course n73 is better.. n73 has symbian,6500 has s40.. and 6500 is sliding which very risky
