WARNING: If you get this phone in the US from T-Mobile beware! You cannot fully configure the navi keys/shortrcuts. T-Mobile had them locked and you are stuck having a primary key( the right navi-key) dedicated to 'T-Zones' with it's accompanying icon on your screen forever.

I have to agree with the restart and hang problems.
The music sounds great, with the 3.5mm jack I can use headphone or in ear plugs. better than a bluetooth connection any day.

You can add tomtom go mobile to it, so you wont need a conection to look at maps (like you would with google maps), the maps will be on the phone, You will be able to listen to your music, it has a good camera, You will be able to install msn live, gmail, or indeed google maps if you prefer, whatever you want on it.

I hope everyone who has this phone can eventually manage to update the firmware to v5.81. I know network operators may slow the process but if they are they are stopping you from having the best phone going! The volume issues are sorted, no more cracklin/popping during mp3 playback either. Some fresh font (in writing messages and mp3 player). Equaliser seems more accurate and deeper sounding. Oh and the camera is much faster! Yay! I took mine to Nokia service centre as it was hanging before loading up (basically it was a paperweight!) but they put v5.81 on it. I'm on Orange UK network. So get updating people! You cant stop this phone now, slim, 3.5mm jack, takes big memory cards, camera is FINE, sweet screen. The best series 40 phone (to me anyway!)

Had the phone a week, battery lasts about 3-4 days with a fair bit of use each day ( half a dozen phone calls, about 30 txts a day or so, bluetooth on only now and again) camera aint that bad for only being 2mp and no flash, it really is good during day shots, if you want pics taken at night, get a digi camera...its a phone remember!! music via the speakers really is good, my mum got the SE w890 at same time but that phone sounds very tinny in comparison. the option to change sms alert tone (no can do with samsungs) is a bonus, 3.5mm jack as used with ipod nano is cool too so can easily link to car stereo if aux in available. only £99 on orange payg. not had the shutdown/restart problem as mentionned (yet!) this would be my recommendation if ya want a PHONE and a mp3 player in one, not normally a nokia fan (more a S.E fan) but like this a lot :)
