People the evidence is right there, take the night shot for example, the n82 blows the rest out of the water, as welll as picture detail and quality the nokias beat everoyne else. You say nokia uses the "carl ziess" as a gimmick...what about the cybershot brand? it does naff all

And once again... ridiculously biased in favour of the N95...
I actually find that the N95 camera dealt with some of those situations really badly! What about the badly under-exposed macro shot? Added to which despite the trickery with the iso speed the samsung ultimately came up with a better range...
Biased to hell.

seems like most ppl here just like to argue about which product is better, and stick behind their company . but i truly think the review is NOT bias, the ppl COMMENTING r bias.
GSMarena didnt even give a CLEAR winner, those were just points for each aspect. and even with the final scores, that just means N95 8GB is the best OVERALL phone, but everyone's tastes r different. like me, i own the Viewty and i LOVE the video recording capabilities, and i do know that the camera's colour accuracy is not that great, but i wont go and trash the N95 8GB and K850 saying they are crap phones just b/c their video recording isnt as good as Viewty's.
I believe the GSM team has given us a good review by offering which phone is targeting which type of audience, so people, pls calm down...it's all about ur preference...

well, yes. maybe I'm wrong with my comment. But other people are saying that N82 photos are brilliant. But I'm on the SE side as of the moment.
By the way, I'm using K850 now because it's what I want.
Thanks for the comment

"Thanks for the excellent review, it's great! Seems like N82 is the best cameraphone at the moment..."
That's what the review wanted to appear. But I disagree. I have N82 but it takes crap pictures, too different what the samples here.

The other phone manufacturers does the same thing too, don't they?
What makes you think they manufacture their own parts?

@Lee Dewhirst
"..Its just Fact that Nokia are a BRILLIANT manufacturer .."
Do they really make anything other than assembling 3rd party hardwares and putting it in a made in china casing and integrating it with software!!??! I wonder.
Samsung/Sony/LG are actually true technology companies and the way I see it, sooner or later they will rule the industry. Be it electronics or something else. Just my opinion.Cheers!!

I really wonder why people nowadays are addicted to the megapixels of camera phones. The more megapixels you have, the bigger the pictures. But image quality really rests on the sensors, the optics, and the processors of the phone. Power without control is useless.
As you may expect only LG, Samsung, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson have the phones to duke it out in the 5 megapixel range. You expect Motorola has no phone to match any of them, and it is true. 3.2 mp is the highest they got with the Z10 and most 2 megapixel camera phones of theirs lack the power and control they need to become good camera phones.
But Motorola users should not fret; the company's partnership with Kodak, the world's imaging leader, will bear fruit this coming year and beyond. Soon you will see millions of 3.2, 5, and even 8 megapixel phones from Moto that have the brains to match the brawn. Kodak CMOS sensors will be implemented for future Motorola camera phones. These sensors are high-quality and are being used today by most digital cameras. These will also be coupled with great optics and powerful processors to handle such pictures without compromising easy usability and user-friendliness.
Motorola will strike back...

I disagree with gsmarena that nokia displays have no competition. check out motorola e2, v8, v9, e8, they all have the best displays in market.
There is a comparison of displays in mobile-review. Here's the link: http://www.mobile-review.com/r...2-2-en.shtml

honestlly,g600 & k850i is outed!!cause just a normal 5.0cmos camera without any optics/lens,without the lens & optics, the quality sure lose to a phone that got optic/lens,that why sony digital camera also need carzl zeiss lens & optics in the digital camera, but nokia at 2005 sign a contract with carzl zeiss, so now sony can't even take any optics / lens, then use a program called cybershot to cheat stupid people buying a fade normal 5.0 cmos camera

I agree with Lee. The Nokia N95 is much better, i have a Sony Ericsson and a K850i. Their is no contest. The Sony Ericsson is not really all that great. Thats why i put mine on E-Bay. The buttons are stupid. The navigation key is confusing, The half touch screen is poor and very rarely works. So basically DO NOT BUY K850i. It is bad version of the old K750i. You want a proper phone go for the Nokia 8GB or the N82.
