Functions are nice, but this bar is so ugly and the menu interface... blah

The quality of photos are very acceptable, even more because is not final firmware. The sky is very blue and I hoping this is get with some setting for such condition, like I have in my DSLR.

@razec, what about the question I ask in the 8 post, is any of that in the white paper.

And two more question for gsm, although I doubt that they even read this:
Agree with some guys here that main menu is not so beautiful, so what about additional themes are they make any difference how icons and background on menu looks?
Is that a diode under the memory card slot and charger slot, and it is used just to signal low battery low or maybe some missed calls and messages ( hoping for that future at SE in the past few years) ?

one more thing, i find the XGA shot from G700 camera very sharp and clear. the colors are excellent as well. what do you guys think?

according to the G700 whitepaper the phone records at QVGA 30fps. ditto G900. i think the prototype issue has something to do with the framrate matter.

and for GSMArena the CPU is not a nexperia one used in W960 and P1. G700 and G900 uses a newer type of arm9 CPU which helps in encoding 5mp images and enabling wifi g mode. nexperia CPU does not allow more than 4mp images. while G900 has breached 5. and G700 shares the same hardware with G900. what the discrepancy?

Software on this handset is slow. Camera button takes very long to intialise the camera.

what will happen now to P1? or P series phones??
P series phones cost a lot compared to this phone.
but G series seems to have all the features of a P series phone and more at an affordable price! im confused now as to the new market portfolio of SE

wow, do you guys actually read things before you post it.

It may hav a 3mp camera, which is generally more then enough, but the fact it isnt a cybershot, takes nothing away from it. My W910 has a better shot then alot of Nokia phones.

I have played with the N95, and I would not take one if someone gave me it, and $$ as well.

The Image stabilizer IS a big thing, considering that it generates a BETTER PHOTO, and if it doesnt have 'Cybershot' on the phone does not mean its below any other handset, just the full capabilities arent there, but they arent there on the N95 or the N82 either!!

Great review!

However I have few questions.

Does this phone have motion sensor?
Can you browse and zoom you pictures with touch screen like iPod?
Does it have same memory card included and what capacity?

Auto focus and WiFi seems to be absent in G700 so as to keep the price of the phone low... Not everyone need these two... If you need autofocus or Wifi you can go for G900 at 50 extra euros...

So please people try not to complain about this awesome device...

Looks like a nice mobile but will the touch screen menu be easy to use for just for the Gallery an Walkmen function an the normal keypads for texting, hope these screens are strong an do not break easily or will be expensive to repair, why have all of a sudden Sony ericsson got rid of the auto-focus on its cameras as they used to the best about but now Nokia is getting the better cameras on there mobiles lets see what the G900 is like next
