Sony Ericsson W760 review: Walkman meets GPS

Question: Do i need to pay(internet connection?) while using the GPS? does it work with only pre-pay?
do i need to buy extra software for the GPS?
How can i figure that out?
i'm mainly interested in the GPS.
thanks lots!

By my idea, this phone look wonderfull with it's side. And more over it's sound is more ingreadible. but what make it bad is it's camara. why there is no flash and video camara? if there are wto more thing it will be nicer. so the best idea is to install these wto more things.
your faithfully,

You know, that notes thing isn't new! You can do it on many models (like the w850 and the k800).

Right now i have 910.
I wanted to buy 760 cause i was thinking it much better ^^.
But after this review i changed my mind. Now i see that 760 not better at all.
- Stereo speakers sucks!
- Display is smaller.
- stupid colors on the phone. Black and yellow...? ha ha ...
Another words waste of money.

the game keys remind me of my lost w550i. awww. however, this phone is really great. the media center application of SE phones impresses me a lot. i'm hoping that the true release will come with a video call camera.
it can be noticed that the "Clear Bass" feature of Sony Walkman portable music players (which seems to replace the "Mega Bass") is now also featured in this phone.

GSM ARENA- very good review but you didn't mention more about the audio quality of the W760 in your review. I would really like to know more in your usual audio quality frequency test. Thank you very much!

In most aspects C702 turns out to be a better allround solution than this. C702 packs with one of the best 3 megapixel camera alongside with a very akin music player to this phone and at the same time features geotagging and GPS. C702 only lacks accelerometer but i think this is not so useful. besides the durability of the C702 simply makes up for the lack of the motion sensor. but anyway it's part of SE strategem of phone diversification. and W760 is nice though :)

You got a point there but what count most is listening to music using earphones.

'integrated stereo speakers are not impressive neither in sound qiality, nor in loudness'
what the hell is the point of being a walkman phone if the music sucks both ways

I think SE really have disappointed with the camera interface. They have proven they can make one of the best with the Cyber-Shot interface, and they even put that in previous mid to high end Walkman phones like the W890i and W910i. I don't see why they didn't here. Being a beta unit is a poor excuse, they won't change much before its release.
Also, GSMArena makes a big deal of the supposedly new feature of displaying notes in the standby. If this is so new, how come I've been able to do it on every single SE phone I've had since my Z600i about 4 years ago? Its an old feature!
