Nokia 6600 slide review: Beautiful to use
Tiny, yet remarkably solid, like a pebble tumbled smooth by the waves, there's something about Nokia 6600 slide that's really hard to resist. By the way, minimalist, extra smooth and exclusive stand equally well for any...

I Personally Feel The Phone Is 1 Of The Best
But..... If You Want This Phone For Playing Loud Music,See Another One Coz There Is Only 1 Speaker That's At The Back Of The Phone(Tiny Blue Spot)
The Sound Of Mp3 Songs Are O.K
If You Add Little More Money (Very Little More)... The N81 Will Complete All Your Needs.

I had high hopes for this phone but was sadly disappointed. I might have a dodgy one, but I find the volume FAR too low for my liking. The ringtones are very weak, if you have the phone in your pocket it is very easy to miss a call because it it hard to hear it, and the vibration is almost non-existant, so you can't even 'feel' the phone ringing. I also think that the 'in call' volume is too low. I have raised the volume to the maximum, ( by pressing 'up' on the D pad when I am receiving a call ), but still find it difficult to hear the caller. I've just received a text message as I write this review, and I didn't hear the message tone or feel it vibrate, it is THAT bad !

The new Nokia 6600 slide - this is a fab phone - neat and easy to use. Very similar to the old Samsung D600 but thinner - very impressed and would recommend.

> In reply to Erick @ 2008-10-10 14:25 from mcVxI cannot find the pictures from camera. I am a little bit disapointed with this phone - no multitasking, average camera. The only advantage is VGA video. I think Samsung S7330 or C702 are better. What do u think?

The pictures in the review come from the Nokia 3600 (look at the Exif data)...I guess same for video. Shame Gsmarena took their 3600 review to make their 6600 review ! Using the real phone for samples would be better don't you think ?

I bought this phone because my father has it, so i know it is a good phone, I have always gone for nokia, and this is my second best (1st best is nokia n72). The camer is my main want for a phone, it is perfect, takes pics in the dark, good clear crisp pics, texting is so easy to do, no sensitive ball, battery lasts days, i love all the features of this phone! I have the silver version, it is lush!
I would give this phone 8/10..
I would certainly reccomend this phone!

This attractively built device will sell well and would suit someone looking for a good all-round feature phone. Presumably its nearest alternatives will be the Samsung U800 and the forthcoming Sony Ericsson T700. However, its predecessor remains a very attractive alternative also, and will now be on offer for less.
The only possibly criticism that could be directed towards this device is not really the device's fault but rather the Series 40 operating system. In all respects S40 is a brilliant OS except the browser. If were more advanced such as the state of the art browser on the S60 that would please many people who access the web on their mobiles, and that number is growing. However, as the GSMArena review points out, it does come with Opera.
Great device but bear in mind that the 6500 Slide will now be available at bargain prices.
