Samsung M8800 Pixon review: Touch'n'shoot - read the full textSamsung M8800 Pixon gets its kick from touchscreen and imaging and hopes to be the definitive cameraphone. The inspired TouchWiz interface and massive screen are the right gateway to getting the 8 megapixel camera and real high-end video unleashed...

Samsung really needs to fix the cam. Pixon's camera takes great details in the center. The rest of it is off focused. Come on samsung.

Does anyone know how well the GPS reciever works. If I need a navigation device similar to that of Nokia 6110/20 is this as good?

What's the big thing about WiFi in phones anyways?
I know a few people with it and they only use it at home due to the lack of decent wifi access points in public places...

Getting mine in a couple of weeks...love it!

its a stupid question but: it can record at wvga@30fps, but can i reduce resolution to qvga and keep it @30fps on the phone itself so i dont have to convert it on the PC to put it on to youtube? please answer.

WVGA recording but no WVGA screen???
=====================================

*ARRGGHHH* PLEASE, can it be so hard to implement a WVGA screen? If you already have the highest specs in a phone, would it be too much to ask to include a WVGA screen?

They look so much better and what's the point of recording in D1 when you can't view it as such on your phone?

> In reply to Jin @ 2008-10-25 00:06 from M{3J - click to readthe horizontal side of the graph from left to right is increasing sound frequency, starting in Hz.

13-25 Hz is typical bass sounds

the vertical side of the graph is the decibels it can reach without distortion.

bass frequencies do not need to go loud because they are a heavy vibration, which means it is hard not to hear it. plus if it went too high the bass vibrations can cause damage to your ear drums.

I loved to Omnia after the review ... I also loved the INNOV8 despite no review of it in GSMArena ...

But, this set has serious faults::-->

this 8 megapixel camera is inferior to competition ...

GPS Chip unuseable for other obvious purposes ...

Wifi not there ...

Audio Quality doubtable. look at the frequency response, Bass is dead!

Somehow, Renoir feels better than this ... somehow?...

Can anyone tell me why Wifi is so important? Is this purely in the States for some reason? Here in the Netherlands we don't really want or need it. Most of us have a data subscription next to our regular subscription. This basicaly gives us 3G coverage over 95% of the country..

This is not a cameraphone. It is a phonecamera! hehe...

Why would anybody need such a high mega pixel camera?

Anyway, looks good - looks a little on the thick side.
