It's ridiculous to think of it that way. There are better things to do.

I believe in depends on firmware installed in every phone which varies in every continent. My viewty deliberately exceed my expectation and maybe you have purchased your viewty on a black market.

> In reply to Viewty Owner @ 2008-11-08 02:19 from jDvD - click to readThe good news is that from my early impressions of the phone (just got it!), it's not.
I'm an ex-Viewty user myself and totally agree with your assessment. The Renoir is eons ahead of the Viewty.

OH yeah,
Dont forget the importance of the camera lens cover!
You dont want any oil, finger prints, dust or scratches on your expensive camera phone...

> In reply to viewty owner II @ 2008-11-06 19:41 from M{3I - click to readRE: Viewty
It has slow image browsing.... When you have alot of pictures in your phone, it takes up to 5 seconds to flip to the next picture.
Bad file management. The file viewer cannot understand folders you create in your memory card, and your computer cannot access folders you make in your viewty. Its really complicated, and un-organized.
Bad customer service... Hackers online found out very early on that the Viewty camera was capable of taking much better pictures (using the Hidden menu function). But LG never bothered to release any new firmwares, or updates for its phones. They just make it, and move on to the next one.
Don't get me wrong! Viewty still did everything it promised. But nothing extra was realized once you start using the phone. Only more and more disappointment as time went on. My Viewty actually stopped being able to make calls 6 months in. Totally unprovoked.
Point of this late viewty review is that, if Renoir is anything like its predecessor (viewty) then its doomed to be a gimmick phone.

GSMArena should've mentioned that INNOV8's recorded video, despite the fact it records superb videos, the audio coding on the contrary is only AMR 12kbps Mono.
superb video, lame sound.

> In reply to Dian Nao @ 2008-11-07 16:30 from ji{R - click to readDesign is a matter of taste.. SE always has distinctive design. User interface is very user friendly and it has newer version since K850. SE also update firmware version regulary that we can update thru their website so there is a chance to have better camera driver. SE price vs features is very competitive. Website support and service center is one important factor to buy a phone.

Your comparism sucks, for you the dark blue sky is normaly then light blue sky. BTW i agree with opinions of SE Guys. their page is the best and they always give a full suport for your fon and they always give a new firmwares in time. Just you hate too much SE thats cause you give them so low rating :). Sory on badly English. Maybe samsung pay you for this review :D lol

A very thorough comparison, although coverage on the KC780 as well would have made it even better.
Personally I don't like the SE brand but it's looking pretty good.

Very Nice Review.Liked it.So much amusing.I think if you're into smart phone then go for innov8.and if you're a fan of touch screen gizmo like iphone renoir is you're game.So pick up you're choice. And yeah SEC905 out of competition.

> In reply to boyboy @ 2008-11-07 10:06 from uEyt - click to readGood for u, but not for us.
The choice are clear now. If u want smartphone go for Samsung INNOV8. If u want touchscreen go to LG Renoir.
So many years I'm used SE. Now, C905 are out from competition. The design are outdated and the user interface are boring, not change for many years.

look i just think that Renoir picture quality and features are obviously better than any other phone...and that is not because i am ''LG fan boy'' bt that is true !!! so I would like to tell to some SE fanboys that those pictures tell us that once again SE is out of competition...!!!

I've had the Renoir phone now for over a week. The camera is very good - there's no denying that. I've made a few postings in the preview article for the phone on this site.
The user interface is also good. It's not an iPhone and people should not compare it to the touch capabilities of the iPhone or iPod Touch... both of which are in a league of their own. The Renoir's touch-screen UI is better than I thought it would be. Using the number key and QWERTY keyboard is very easy to do. Just like most things, the more you use it the better you'll get.
It's not to say that the Renoir is perfect, however. The phone still has a number of issues that can do with fixing from LG. I hope they go with a true symbian touch UI for their next iteration of the Renoir.
