Nokia N85 review: Nseries revved up
N85 is the latest Nseries signing and a bulletproof spec sheet sets it right in the thick of all-in-one action. Full-house connectivity and multimedia prowess topped with a massive OLED screen to die for, Nokia N85 gives the lineup a great edge...

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-23 13:33 from ib74No, I'm saying you don't understand how OLED tech works - At 100% brightness displaying a blue or mostly blue screen (since blue pixels wear out the quickest) after two years the screen would wear out.
But I guess you're the sort of person who would choose to have the screen at 100% when in standby in your pocket since an OLED screen would only last you 2 years?
tl;dr, you don't know what you're talking about ;)

I wz referring to the 'upcoming' N85 refresh (in reply to rbh5) as rumoured on Nokia's leaked road map which might also come with xenon flash. It's rumoured that there will be onboard memory but it doesn't say if there will be a card plot

Looking on the pics made with its camera i feel like seeing mid-level median filter on upscaled picture. I do know its only a phone camera but I wonder if there would be the same effect if the picture resolution would be a set bit smaller... eg. 1024x768 :)

> In reply to Lucian @ 2008-11-13 20:33 from RHb5Dual LED's aren't bad - Nokia uses them on the 6500 Slide, which I have currently. However, they can't beat a Xenon flash for low light or action shots.
I was looking at a comparison of the shots taken with the N82, the N85 and the N95. For low light shots the N82 came out the best. Surprisingly though, the N85 wasn't very far behind it. And, the N95 came in behind them both in terms of quality.

I still haven't made up my mind yet on whether or not to get the N85 now seeing that it will most likely be re-released with my N82's xenon flash or if to get it now. I've never experienced dual leds. My first Nseries was the N82. I'll make my mind up depending on whether or not the upcoming N85 will have expandable memory to go along with that 8-16Gb on board memory
