Light of weight and heavy on looks, easy on the wallet and keen on getting things done, Sony Ericsson T700 is playing for keeps in the midrange. Stylish exterior, high-speed data, snappy interface and...

I had taken this mobile on january 2009.
T700 mobile features are good. The battery back is not worst. It is not comming atleast 2 days. It is having more features but based on that they are not providing battery. So, if anybody planning purchase this mobile, please drop and go for another mobile.

Hi
I got this phone. Its pretty good. Screen is very clear and bright. Music is excellent with the right headphones. I got a stereo bluetooth set - HBH-DS200 and music is great with this unit also. I dont use the camera at all so no probs there. However all the photos i took so far did come pretty bad so the lack of the autofocus is a big thing, but we cant have everything all the time... And sony makes it a point to rarely give everything together in all their products.....
I wanted to know if anyone has tried putting 4gb memory in this unit? I have other mp3 players but wanted to see if I could use this more... i heard people say phones might crash/hang if we put the 4gb memory in them?

Can someone teach me how to make 3G calls with a single camera which is pointing outwards?
It seems like I'm the only one having this problem or wat.

Had the phone about a month and a half (got it to replace my SE w880i) and I absolutely LOVE it. Only thing wrong with it is the vibrate is too weak, prob as a result of being soooo thin... Go buy it now and set yourself Sim-free or snap it up when it becomes available on a network. It does almost everything that Walkman and Cybershot phones do and it's much smaller than most!

It is good up to its price. It's a deal yes, by first look:) Its just ordinary phone. 3mp camera is great, but no autophocus is big drawback(even your heartbeats affect pict quality)if u want a good pict u need a rigid support everytime u shoot, although there is an option to shoot at multiple mode 4 pictures at a time, so u can choose the best one but the pict is then VGA quality- no more (wtf) ; fluctuating signal-yes; weak vibration-cant feel it when walking; there is no option to set the vibr first then ringing when incoming call; Google maps- weak app-n since the positioning is by network sells(i suppose)and accuracy is up to 2300m (haha-what positioning is this 2,3KM); small streets are not visible; turns off- rarely but did it for less 1 month since i bought it;these are main drawbacks for now; so there is no perfect phone guys, and its done by aim like that by the companies; there is no profit from doing perfect phones:) the worse is that we dont receive average phone at averge price-there is no such thing too.:) be tight! bye!

no video conference = not worth to buy.
there are many other phones with better features out there, and they have same/lower price than this phone.

T700: Well I used the T700 and here are some drawbacks in the phone. The internal antenna of this phone seems to be weak after i test-compared with the another SonyEricsson with the same service provider and at the same (specific accurate) location. T700 had the signals (network) fluctuating / less signal bars on screen as compared to the other phone's signals at the same location. I DONT KNOW IF THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS ONLY IN MY T700 OR IN ALL T700s. There is also not enough security like as in Samsung and other phones. There should be a Password or a Code option for entering the Inbox, Unlocking keypad, Call Logs etc as seen in Samsung. The speaker is just useless. Not at all good. Screen should have been 16M colors instead of 256K. Also the phone hangs at times for a few seconds but then resumes on its own. SO please check it before you buy.
Thank you guys

Hi GSMarena, great review!! But you mentioned the speaker quality was very poor, can you explain more in the review?
I'm looking forward to the W705.....though I'm tempted to get the G705 just for the GPS to make it complete......hope the camera is as good :)

what a useless camera. Auto focus is soooo cheap! They insist not building it in. Losers...

Darn, I'm already repenting for having bought this phone. The red-on-black W705 looks absolutely mind-blowing and has WiFi too. Anybody out here interested in a barely used red T700 in 10/10 condition?

Good review, but why do you guys leave out the Audio Quality test for SE most of the time? Just because it's a walkman doesn't mean it's good. Could you add that please?

Nice review, you've convinced me GSM Arena, I currently have a k800i which is dying & this phone seems to be in a similar vein(except the Cybershot camera of course, but that doesn't bother me a I have a 7.1mp camera anyway so I'd use that if I want to take really good photos).
I think I've found my next phone, until the price of the W902 comes down of course, lol.
