HTC Touch HD review: Windows almighty

HTC Touch HD review: Windows almighty - read the full textThe Touch HD is storming the WinMo stage to leave a footprint the size of half the HTC portfolio. Not so long ago we saw how sexy Windows Mobile can look, now it gets multimedia hot. There’s TouchFLO 3D to roll the heavy WinMo machine into action...

The review states: "auto rotation for text input applies only to web browser" Does that mean it is not possible to input text for sms or organiser in a landscape qwerty keys ??? Can someone please clarify, that would be a real shame not to use this magnificent large screen.

Just wanted to say what a detailed and informative review. Should have read yours first (sorry) but most of the others I've read are ok but do not go into soooo much detail or give links advice etc . I have now bookmarked you and no I dont work for GSM Arena!

It will be important to have a stylus as that will help CEO's and the likes of us to jot down notes in our own handwriting.... we still use sharpened pencils you see.

if the battery is like htc touch diamond's than forget it! i charge my touch diamond twice a day i'm really fedup
this time i will go for I PHONE. it is almost 8 years that i'm using htc phones under names I MATE,QTEK 9090 AND QTEK S200, HTC TOUCH PRO
which ifound much more practicle than my actual touch diamond.
anyway i say goodbye to HTC team and wish them a great year 2009

Just got one! This is the most incredible phone Ive ever scene. It certainly rivals the IPhone, and in my opinion beats it soundly! I have a lot of winmo apps already, so I am happy that I am not starting from scratch in that area. I am amazed at how quickly it syncs my media library. This is the Real Deal.

I am a bit confuse in choosing among HTC Touch HD, Sony Ericsson Xperia and Samsung i900 Omnia. Please give your comment which is the best out of the three

hello
PLEAS PLEASE
poste a better video example. where one can assess the picture-sound synchronicity! WITH THE ***SAMSUNG omnia*** the video and audio is out of sync, which is terrible, not usable. so I am thinking of switching to the htc hd. IF YOU LIKE THE CAMCORDER FUNCTION STAY AWAY FROM THE SAMSUNG OMNIA: sound is horrible and its out of sync with the videopicture, sorry samsung (otherwhise the phone is nice).

I just signed up to this phone - I'm a new smartphone user, and I had it down to the iPhone and this one. The winning feature was the ability to use word/excel for work, and send pictures of my daughter to her doting extended family. Its a fantastic phone, easy to use for a newcomer, and the touch screen works fine - so every now and then you need to use a bit of pressure....so what? I prefer this as it means you are less likely to press the wrong thing by accident. No regrets so far. The iPhone is also a great phone - maybe a bit easier to use/play with.....but I just couldn't buy into the pretentions that go with the Mac brand

Check out the iPhone comments on GsmArena homepage. I think HTC users got chewed up.
