HTC Touch HD review: Windows almighty
The Touch HD is storming the WinMo stage to leave a footprint the size of half the HTC portfolio. Not so long ago we saw how sexy Windows Mobile can look, now it gets multimedia hot. There’s TouchFLO 3D to roll the heavy WinMo machine into action...

This is a fantastic phone. I miss my N82 because it's more of a phone. The Touch HD is more of a PDA.

Do not compare the Touch HD with an I Phone, they are seperated by miles. The I Phone only assets are it's incredible UI and the I Pod function. The Touch HD is a true pda phone. And don't say that it's copying the I Phone's looks. Its a complete touchscreen phone, a screen is square so the phone is square, it's the only design possible if you want to be taken seriously. Furthermore the HD outuns an I Phone without any problems and at least it has a usefull camera, textmessaging system, bluetooth connectivity, etc. etc.
Conclusion:
I Phone = rubbish
HTC Touch HD = King of the hill

I don't know if anyone noticed it before, but I'm afraid in the camera samples the position between the Nokia N82 samples and the Omnia ones got switched (the second thumb should refer to the Omnia I believe, or the conclusion of the Samsung being beaten by the competitors doesn't stand).
Cheers

windows "almighty" still has a looong way to come. I got htc hd and it is rather disappointing. Camera is brutal. One can't highlight a list of contacts oh the menu. It's time consuming when you need to delete 250 numbers because for some reason the appear twice. There are other bits that don't seen to work in the htc hd. I would not recommend this device to anyone.

The review states: "auto rotation for text input applies only to web browser" Does that mean it is not possible to input text for sms or organiser in a landscape qwerty keys ??? Can someone please clarify, that would be a real shame not to use this magnificent large screen.

It will be important to have a stylus as that will help CEO's and the likes of us to jot down notes in our own handwriting.... we still use sharpened pencils you see.

if the battery is like htc touch diamond's than forget it! i charge my touch diamond twice a day i'm really fedup
this time i will go for I PHONE. it is almost 8 years that i'm using htc phones under names I MATE,QTEK 9090 AND QTEK S200, HTC TOUCH PRO
which ifound much more practicle than my actual touch diamond.
anyway i say goodbye to HTC team and wish them a great year 2009
