Nokia E63 review: E for Economy

Nokia E63 review: E for Economy - read the full textNokia E63 is the next QWERTY messenger by Nokia, set on the glorious path of the E71. Only this time it slips off the high heels to walk it in plain straight and simple boots instead. And the matching price tag leaves little doubt of what this Working Joe here is all about...

> In reply to hahnvin @ 2009-01-14 02:50 from wY5Y - click to readthe whole point is you don't need to carry around your satnav, phone and dslr with you everywhere you go. Who would want to do that?

Anyway, this phone is just a bit too cheap looking and ugly for my taste. E71 is MUCH nicer looking.

I always recommend e71

nokia should make all its cellphone screen from glass or mineral crystal from now on.time to change.people have tired those having plastic screen that's easily prone to scratches.glass not easily prone to scratches but will, compare to plastic. And a metal body is a bonus. for memory card i suggest nokia should use mini than micro coz micro was so tiny and tend to be lost (in case when we want to take them out to put in memory card reader or put in to new phone) .

E71 has bad bad reception, just read here http://www.boygeniusreport.com...-issues-mmm/

I gave back 4 units of E71, all were faulty and had the reception problem, which is known worldwide.

E63 has always reception. Due to the lacking metal parts.

No complaints with this phone at all. Yeah, people are bashing the camera, but it serves it's purpose fairly well. I'm not exactly a full time photogropher, so it's fine.
Great connectivity and simple operation are what this device is all about. Friend has the E71, and he plays with my 63 more than he does his own. Battery life is decent, even surfing (which in itself is a pleasure with this phone). Email is so simple that even people with no real computer backround should have no problems setting it up. Best "bang for you buck" in a new business phone can be found in the E63...

can anybody comment on e63's battery......
or what you say about the below mentioned comments:

"the battery itself feels somewhat loose in the slot – it won’t fall out of the phone, make no mistake about that, but if you simply shake the E63, you’ll hear it rattle inside the battery compartment."

e63 is a great buy. who needs a camera on this if you have a dslr? who needs a GPS on this when you have one in your car? it is a cellular phone for crying out loud. the people who complain too much about what it lacks are those who cant afford to buy those things separately.

do i need to say more

everyone is talking about the performance and the camera, well the performance for E63 is nice, there is no use to attach a camera with this phone or even the E71 because managers dont need cameras or radio.

cheers

I have an e71 and these e-series have totally useless speaker phones. How can this be a business phone when you can't do a proper conference call?
