Thats the reason why HTC, Samsung and LG have been doing so well in the past year. Cause all 3 brands have been releasing way too many touch screen phones! Majority of them not even half decent...

Now, my original comment wasn't directed at the business side of their game.... And I don't know much about sales and what not.

I was simply replying to those people who keeps screaming "WHERE R THE 12 MP", when it is only the beginning of the 8mp market.

Innov8/Renoir vs c905.... Hah! Innov8 and Renoir simply have more numbers to brag about. That and a bigger monitor. All my co-workers are getting new phones, and they are truly clueless when it comes to phone techs. All they really care about is which phone will get them more phone numbers. Its all about impressing the ladies for them =/ But when it comes to quality build, and user experience, I can only recommend c905. But you can't really brag about that now can u?

Mate trust me, any decent manager worth his salt could probably figure out the market better than those kids at SE. No wonder they are going down in profitability. They can't undercut compete with Nokia at every price point simply because they don't have the logistics and business plan that allows them to do so. Releasing cutting edge phones is the only way out.
If you're happy with the old C905 and X1, so be it. But there are countless others who would happily pay fork out the dough for the next big device. The Touch HD is outselling the Xperia here by a HUGE margin, same goes with the INNOV8 and Renoir vs C905.

We get it. Sony Ericsson makes the best feature phones, compare with Nokia S40 and you'll know what I mean.

Now we want to see a groundbreaking smartphone. Dear SE, you are the only one who can save us all from Apple world domination. ;-)

Great K800i-52 and W850i-1204 (which itself was a W810i slider)

i remember like years ago my friend and i used to compare K800i and N73, really SE what do you thing these phones are gonna do? the k800i has a Xenon Flash? the K800i is probably the cheapest cyber shot there is?

And if you want a Thin K800i you can buy K770....so what the heck is C510 gonna do?

i don wanna sound like a SE basher i still respect the K750i, K800i, K850i and the W810i... they truly were great phones but look:

-G902 and G702 noone even knows what they are. (Flop) (no more UIQ now)

all those Walkman sliders all just varriants of W850i with only the upgrade of Shake control

Now only on like the newest SE's have we seen GPS and Wifi come in, but the rest is just the same stuff from the past

MAN what the hell is SE doing?

when i said that k800 is the best camera phone im talking about the camera quality and not video recording! you are so wrong! k800 renders the most natural and live colors compare to n73!

walkman phones set the new standard when it comes to mp3 capabilities and sound quality of cellular phones! do you know what you're talking about?

K800 doesn't even record QVGA video and pic quality of N73 is a lot better than K800.
All walkman phones are crap they provide only a good software but that doesn't mean that u r getting better audio quality. All Nokia, Samsung, even LG also used DSP for audio. In ur lifetime at least once check audio quality of N91 and compare it with all sony walkman phone then u know the answer.

I became a SE fan since i first used the T68. an amazing phone! SE has excellent design, looks youthfull not like nokia's boring and old men designs, plus they combine colours making a great contrast, which other brands use a simple colour, like nokia, black with i am sick and tired of it. show me a phone with colour combinations, an example let's say the intense black w760 with black and yellow. SE is for young and smart people, the rest is for bored people with no purpose in life :). Maybe they are not so well received in Europe, but in Japan they don't even look at Nokia and others, they are way way far from them. Enjoy in Europe while it lasts.

These are junkies.
Old tech, same toy looking phones
People here are talking about x1 & C905.
Do u know both are dead, nobody is buying those phones
C905 is crap if u leave camera. X1 has windows which is crap
so sony has to think about their next platform windows & uiq is dead they should release s60 phones. They need to revive A200 also.
I dono understand why some people buy sony err phone there are always better alternative available in the market 4 lesser price.

I just don't get it! I have read quite a lot of news here and there that this Sony Ericsson C510 Cybershot is an "affordable" cameraphone. But why the heck is the price not mentioned?!! Please GSMArena, as soon as you gather information about the pricing of the C510, please let us know. We're quite puzzled.
How will we know that what's affordable for Sony Ericsson is also affordable for us if the price isn't even mentioned?

C905, and X1 has been released October of 2008. Its been all of TWO months since release date. I'm sure glad you're not the one running business around here.

Btw, I would expect announcement dates of the C905 & X1 successors no earlier than 1 year later after previous announce dates... so stop asking for 12mps.

The C905 is beginning to feel outdated already with it's small 2.4" display. Heck, the last time I used such a small display was almost 3 years ago. It's a human trait to want better and faster technology all the time.
