> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-06 13:08 from mF5W - click to readHi, there is a way to change the message tone. We will be publishing it at fonebox.com later today (8 April 2009). Accessing the memory card is via the My Files icon on the desktop. You then select the Memory card from the drop down menu at the top right of the screen by touching the little down arrow. After you select a file, the 'Send via' and 'More' buttons allow you to do things with the files. If you have more questions, submit them using the field at Fonebox.com and we'll publish the answers here and there.

Why are people asking for WiFi? What is the point? You have to be at home or in a cafe. And if you're there, why are you playing with your phone and not your laptop? 2, 2.5 and 3G are available in most locations. I just don't get this obsession with WiFi. (The only device out there that needs it is the iPod Touch as it doesn't have phone hardware.) What am I missing here?

I have the phone from Vodafone for 2 days now, and i really have to say that i'm impressed by 4:
1) The 8mp camera is absolutely wonderful.
2) Capacitive OLED (images and videos looks like HD).
3) The 5.1 channel output mode specially when using the headset.. amazing.
4) The background can be dealt with as a page so you can scroll up & down while the B.G image is still & you can put any gadgets on it like icons.
And i didn't like 4:
1) GPS (Hassle to use & Inaccurate)
2) Battery life is too short (specially when using the vibration accompanied with fingers touch)
3) Accelerometer works only with images, videos and internet browsing
4) Memory card is not hot-swappable, and the one you get in the package is just 1GB
Honestly, i called vodafone to exchange it with another phone..

I´m glad, everyone uses Wifi conection!!!! If you all talk abou it, you have to use it, even the ones that have Samsung U600. If you want Wifi and all that brands, buy Omnia and stop saying what you would like it to have.

I have a U600 and this should be the replacement... but oh God.. not WIFI.... the 3G connection is too expensive here.... I love the OLED display, the 8mpx camera... but no WIFE greatly disappoint me... and make me think twice what I should do.

Beautiful design, good features. But i agree, wifi would be superb, and symbian or andriod would be great. I kinda fell in love with the design, cant wait to see it first hand.

Is it only me who's missing a decent earphone connection??? I thought Samsung engineers would throw away the crappy "standard samsung port" for good and replace it with usb+3,5mm connections. NO, they had to do things by halves. Not to mention the lack of WIFI, of course.

I don't like how the camera lens and shutter is set up in the back, it looks simple, cheap and tacky, like a 2 mp shooter, they should have made it look a bit more sophisticated. That blew the deal for me.

of course wifi is better than 3G. at least in my country, there are several cities and hotspots where we can use a wifi net conection for free!! even in a mcdonalds restaurant!!
no wifi?? NO WAY!!!
(and i love samsung phones!)
