the only reason theres no WiFi is so the network can charge u for it on edge. its just a way to get the cellular companies to use this phone as low priced selling point. besides with the 3G, wats the need for WiFi.

I absolutely love samsung but I don't understand why they didn't put wifi on this phone... Did they intentially do this in order to keep focus on other wifi enabled phones with touchscreens (i.e. Omnia?). As much as I love this phone wifi is a deal breaker for me...

I was wondering about the battery life. Is there a place where we can replace the battery with a similar, yet more powerful battery?

Not for me:

No Wifi.
Missed opportunity for a navigation pad.
Not so keen on the stark colours.

Samsung going to put alot of pressure on the others this year ,making sure they release quality mobiles to compete with them or they will be trailing way behind them,it might be good news indeed, but one thing the mobile produces have got to realise with the financial trouble, loads won"t be able to buy the Top Quality mobiles if they become to expensive so some price reductions better be made by them

Why the article does not mention the lack of WIFI?
GSMArena demand wifi on a 2006's phone, like N73, but there is no comment about in a 2009 phone????

From N73 review (great N73's review, by the way):

..."But I know and expect your response: "Where's Wi-Fi?"... Well, nowhere...The absence of Wi-Fi damns the phone... gives it a black point...and may easily be a decisive matter at the moment of purchase."
