Anonymous, 27 Feb 2009Agred, Nokia, wake up! I saw Samsung & SE have so nice touch phonetouch phones are dirty! grosse!
Hope Nokia gets the Call Logs issue on N series fixed with this model and also add SMART DIALING to all their phones. Why do you think they are called Smart Phones? Nokia should learn to act before it's too late. Act fast before the likes of Samsung and now even SE kick you out of your own S60 space. SE already has Smart Dialing on all their feature phones. Even the $250 MSRP models have it now.
Nokia N86 8MP amazing phone, i am buying it when it comes out!

the people who designed those pictures are a bonch fo succers, if that's true then it's normal. Don't you think?????????
Why every pictures of N86-8GB of this overview says "N85 8GB" on both colors (bellow 3G secondary camera)? Anybody noticed?
I don't think it was dissappointing at all. i think its apparent that nokiaare looking away from ridiculous toy like the sony ericssons etc. they seem to improving the quality of the devices and thinkingof user experience. adding more connectivity and data services is excellent. i'm sick of the megapixel race its great that they are thinking deeper with they're features and services rather than maxing everything out and it not working.
One of the major disappointments of this year MWC is the Finnish company Nokia! Along with Motorola who also did not introduce officially anything exciting, the Finnish manufacturer of mobile phones gives a big disappointment to its fans. The only novelty from Nokia comes as an upgrade of the old N85. The upgrade comes in a form of a slightly better camera a far cry from the competitions touch screen monster phones. Looks like the rumors about Nokia research downgrading is true. A rather unexpected move by Nokia, we can only guess whether or not they will be able to keep their major market share this way. Economists are saying that by the end of next year Nokia and Samsung will be practically be on the same market share. Now, more than ever, this statement is looking to come true. Our comment is only one if Nokia wants to keep their market share, they must resume research especially on the touch screen segment since that is their main weakness right now.
This is from MobileWorldNews. I thought it might be interesting to you
sarte, 24 Feb 2009man, that N86 is pure quality. the kickstand is a nice touch, the phone could double as an ala... more Yeah sure! LOL
Dont be ridicules! This is a cheap upgrade on the camera side on to the N85. Pathetic try from Nokia to rip us off again.
man, that N86 is pure quality. the kickstand is a nice touch, the phone could double as an alarm clock on your nightstand! hope it isnt majorly overprized in the first few months.

Yeah, sure! I always heard that Jamaicans are stupid monkeys but now I know for sure! LOL
now nokia should release n95 8mp and 30gb of memory, n96 8mp 50gb of memory and touchscreen
Expert, 19 Feb 2009I was not saying that iPhone is the best or anything like that. All I was saying, and what is ... moreI don't even want to hear the name iPhone. Take a look at the DISADVANTAGES of the iPhone 3G in GSMArena's review. My Nokia E51 (and many other Nokias) can do EVERYTHING listed as CAN'T DO for the iPhone 3G.
Anonymous, 20 Feb 2009Do you see any other camera phone with variabe aperture values? Wasnt it SE who copied nokia's... moreIt has become routine to see others from GSMArena forums bashing Nokia phones that I simply ignore them these days.
Most of them are Sony Ericsson fans who loves to go in various Nokia forums here in GSMArena and pretend to be an interested Nokia customer and bash bash bash.
They are simply immature.
I dont get it...
For majority of the buyers, a "smart" phone, is just the same as any other phone.
david, 20 Feb 2009more of the same...anything new but the 8mx. other mobiles of samsung and lg and sony ericcson... moreDo you see any other camera phone with variabe aperture values? Wasnt it SE who copied nokia's kickstand solution?
Is there any other phone which delivers on gaming, photography and music?
Is there any other camera smartphone whose price is below 400euros?
Admit it. This phone delivers on fun unlike any other. It is actually the best all in one device at the moment. And they finally got the n81 inspired design correct. Even gsmarena said it has excellent egronomics.
Nokia may not have been the first to introduce an 8mp cameraphone, but they have produced the best one so far.
Honestly, what did you want? A gigantic phone with the resolution of a TV? The last news leaked about a nokia phone with 8mp, you people said nokia was going too far.
You guys just want to bash nokia. Its pointless. And frankly, this is the only site i've seen people bashing n86. Every other site praises it.
