BlackBerry Curve 8900 review: Curved right

BlackBerry Curve 8900 review: Curved right - read the full textThe sharp and compact BlackBerry Curve 8900 spells business and oozes with class. Easily the hottest looker in the Curve lineup – and possibly portfolio-wide – earns much respect as a massive functionality upgrade over its predecessors...

First of all it is very stupid from blackberry to ask for a data plan even when your trying to check your hotmail, gmail, or other emails through wi-fi. (I HAVE WIFI, HENCE, I SHOULD NOT NEED A DATA SERVICE PLAN) you can do this with Iphone, Nokia, etc. I am trying to check my email and no chance it does not work. I do not live in a country where a data service plan from blackberry would work. so what are the options? yep curve 8900 is great, looks good, fast, etc. however whats the use if I can not even check my email. I will probably buy an iphone or Nokia. Blackberry by trying to make more money your are actually loosing it.

I have been oogling over it for quite sometime now and the only reason which was holding me from buying this was lack of 3G. Till the time 3G enabled device of my liking comes across, I can have this and buy wi fi which is coming for $130 for 115 hours. This is super cool. I can use my wi fi hours as per my liking. the validity is 360 days.

Now that makes this device truly awesome for me.

Saving money now for this. Nothing's gonna distract me now, not even N900 ;)

Boring games, lol. Get a E72 instead for real business combined with a little entertainment.

I'de like to buy Blackberry 8900 but i keep asking some phone shops if i can use WiFi in any open range without Blackberry Account or Data Plan. Some say yes some say no. Whom do i need to believe? I'm a person who always browsing internet wherever i go using my Nokia E71 without registering to any service provider. I hope BB8900 has the same function as Nokia E71 in terms of WiFi. I need help before i buy this BB8900.Cheers!!!

this is a good phone however on vodafone uk it does not come with appropiate software for Blackberry App World which is very disapointing. there is also no updates for the software so it would be advised to use a different carrier.
