I'de like to buy Blackberry 8900 but i keep asking some phone shops if i can use WiFi in any open range without Blackberry Account or Data Plan. Some say yes some say no. Whom do i need to believe? I'm a person who always browsing internet wherever i go using my Nokia E71 without registering to any service provider. I hope BB8900 has the same function as Nokia E71 in terms of WiFi. I need help before i buy this BB8900.Cheers!!!

this is a good phone however on vodafone uk it does not come with appropiate software for Blackberry App World which is very disapointing. there is also no updates for the software so it would be advised to use a different carrier.

i love my 8900 even though it came defective, the wifi does not work at all.. I'm working on getting it replaced.
I think the camera is great but the browser too is slow, Id give it a 7/10 overall.

Anyone else notice the "Y" key and the "Z" key are swapped in position on 8900 that they were using to review? Is the 8900's "QWERTZ" keyboard actually like that? haha

The Review is excellent ......... I had been searching for reviews of Blackberry phones and i must admit, the reviews @ gmsarena are the best, there are over the entire internet. Detailed, accurate and suggestive- covering each and every feature in detail- Just like the user/consumer wants it to be ................ thank You very much for such a mind blowing review.
k
Can you also, please post a detailed review of Blackberry Bold 9000 and can you please compare the Curve 8900 with the Bold 9000.
I am confused, as to what should i buy the Curve is sexier looking and more stylish - but the Bold comes in with more features and almost the same price range !!!
Thank You- very much, I really appreciate your kind efforts!!!

> In reply to klasna @ 2009-03-27 01:38 from Ttsx - click to readbattery life is only poor if you keep it in the case it comes with (magnet in the case). This is a well documented problem. google it. audio is great... soo loud... even louder that my w810i modded with loud acoustics.

I sold my E71 to get the Bold but sold that to get the Curve 8900. So in a way, 8900>Bold>E71.

Frankly we use the Blackberry over the E71 mainly because the email actually works in environments where the E71 cant even hold onto a signal with the same carrier. We need the best and most reliable business tool. We have large mac accounts and the Blackberry works a dream with these accounts. The E71 keys are too small and just cannot compete if one has to have the best & most reliable email. Simple as that. The rest of the so called features are just that - add on's.
