DivX (avi) doesn't work on my Bold... it plays the sound but the screen goes pink. Xvid and mp4 works fine, any suggestions why this is and how to fix this??

I am getting mine next week and looking at the specs of this beautiful phone , I have to be honest and say that the camera with only 2mb is very poor. I would have thought at least for a phone like this they could have given it 3.5 mb ?
what also worries me , is how about a cover for this phone ? does a person get them or not ? I wouldn't want my phone to get scratches ...

FM radio is not an advantage.... like, who under 80 years old listens to FM????? Who needs the power drain for a worthless feature? This phone can get internet radio if you can't rip enough MP3s.

I work for a phone shop and i have had the bold since release and i love it. However saying that i have had nothing but problems, replaced 3 times and currently away for repair. Would suggest if you are after good internet and excellent sound quality yet not for the every day phone.
The new Curve is also a brilliant phone yet more reliable.

BB is smart choice... you can change BB bar signal into numeric signal.
I have read from http://greenbydiamond.com/wordpress/?p=615
1. Press and hold ALT, then type ‘NMLL’. Fifth line signal will be directly changed to indicate the number of units of dBm.
2. Number of -45 to -85 indicates strong signal. When the number exceeds the -85 to -100, it means the signal will be weak.
3. To restore the display signal lines, just do the same. Remember: Press and hold ALT, then type ‘NMLL’.

Hey, the blackberry bold is a great phone. I own a storm and had the curve. I honestly cannot live without one.
I purchased one from this site called itislegit.blogspot.com,
it was at a ridiculously affordable price also.
but all in all, it's an amazing phone and I recommend it to any and everyone.
(The curve was my first purchase out of the blackberry, but the storm blows it away for miles)..

I can't believe what I read when the reviewer of this article said the audio quality of the Bold was identical to the 8900.
CLEARLY he or she must be impaired acoustically... wow. I am really surprised, and unfortunately forces me to question the reviewers' opinions.

I want to see a 3G-enabled BB Pearl handset. Why are BB so slow in releasing updates in their handset range? Offer more Consumer features with better camera/video.

Currently I have Nokia E71, I'm very happy with this phone. I didn't have chance to use BB Bold. Through comments I see that many are satisfied with BB Bold more than E71.
What about two issued pointed at the beginning of the review as main disadvantage
No email support without BlackBerry Internet Service account
The web browser is unstable when browsing through Wi-Fi
While with E71, there is no problem with email support, I can use my private email and my official email (through mail for exchange)
Browsing through Wi-Fi is no problem with E71.

GSM Arena,
Glad you've started reviewing BlackBerries! I'd now be quite interested to see what your stance is on the Pearl.
Of course, it doesn't do as much as the others, but it's a nice elegant neat little phone.
I'd be interested to see how compromised the web browsing is in particular on such a small screen. I'd be tempted to get one if this was deemed ok...

The E71 is a great phone yes, had one myself, im using the Curve 8900 and love to go for the Bold, just somthing that atracts me to the phone. To et to the point, NO nokia will ever come close to a Blackberry! Not even the E71. I am a ex nokia freak! Get yourself a Blackberry!
