hmm...
+nice, smooth interface with good video perf. HTC + SE, are u learning!?
+sexy design, even if it looks like a iClone.
-not a smartphone. big problem here, because it means u can't hack and customise phone to hearts' content.
-3 inch screen = b1tch to type on, even in landscape. I *HAD* and X1 and got frustrated trying to type with *ANY* soft keyboard in landscape mode (u name it, I've tried it - Tengo thumb, shapewriter, HTC EzINput 1.5, the X1 R3A Rom new keyboard...)

This phone looks nice, but by god does it look SLOW! The media and contacts homepage is a joke! You could spend an hour trying to scroll through at that pace!
Say what you want about the iphone, at least it's quicker.

iphone has less features but got 10000 applications more than this phone which you can install.This phone has good features but you won't have many choices for applications.

Well..this is a nice great phone.Those who said this phone is bad or whatever shit..probably you're not happy.Cause maybe your current phone is not any better than LG Arena. All i can say is..this phone is worth to buy. The phone is gorgeous! Its better than Iphone. My friend is using Iphone..and he say it SUCKS LIKE HELL! Iphone look nice..but the function is CANNOT MAKE IT!

Thanks! Great review. But about sound: no bass = no buy. Same thing happened with 5800 XM. It doesn't have any bass. Music's great but its completely flat. Listen to some Sony A72x or other same generation player and you'll know what I mean. I'm using $300 ear plugs, and no, you won't know the difference with bundled headphones ($1 China headphones, Sony has better things bundled).

How good Arena's sound quality if compare to Sony Ericsson W980 and W705? Is it really deliver good sound when enhance dolby?

This phone is ranked #1 on user votes with 8.744...
But if you look at the actual rating on the phone page its only 8.1, 8.1, 8.0 rating.
So obviously the rating was cheating to have more screen space :/
Back to the phone itself... The S-Class user interface (judging from the video provided) is still rather slow! You can feel it most on the image browser. Its much like LG Viewty, when you have too many images on your phone, the image browser takes up to 10 seconds to load a picture.... very very bad loading time, and you won't experience it till you but it and start taking pictures.
The home screen....Black to over-saturated colours is so 1999... So ugly!
LG Arena does have better camera, and external memory slot... But Iphone still has its MASSIVE application library. No other company is going to beat that. Apple is waaaay ahead of any of these other phone companies reach. Win by applications.

I'm using the Arena and I didn't notice any bass loosing. And I use the bundled headphones.
But I suppose you can get to a store and try it to be sure.

I want to upgrade my phone. I currently have SE W960 that sound of the music through bundled headphone is good to me. I am a little worry about bass response of Arena. I usually listen hip hop music. Any comments from anyone who already had Arena about the sound quality? What headphone you use to get excellent sound quality? Thanks

Same goes for the camera, its basically no advancement from the 2007 Viewty.
The Renoir is not that great but at least it was an advancement over the Viewty.
While I'm sure that the rest of the Arena is a well ahead of the rather disappointing Renoir in terms of user interface the fact that the Renoir basically matches it is not that great of advancement from LG.
Waiting to see what the Viewty 2 has on offer.
