Nokia 6700 classic review: Sirocco Lite

Nokia 6700 classic review: Sirocco Lite - read the full textThe slim and stylish no-nonsense handset has been a Nokia trademark ever since the 6300 took the world by storm a few years back. However, it's only now after a run of equally popular successors that we realize just how much the Slim Finn changed the rules of the game...

one more comparison - this time downsampled both to 5MPx (the previous was upsampled to 12Mpx). Same conditions, perfect light. Again, not aligned perfectly but that is not the point - btw, rotating images results in loss of detail too. Now we all know that Satio is not finalized but still worth a comparison. make sure to double-click the image. http://www.picturepush.com/public/1972324

Now this phone has the best 5MPx camera BY FAR, I just can't believe the amount of resolved detail - try taking a SATIO 12 MPx picture and resize it to 5MPx - you will get about the same level of detail with more noise. Isn't it ironic - the camera does not show the fancy Carl Zeiss logo anywhere yet it simply is the best camera in a Nokia phone. Check out the link for a comparison - the two pictures are now alligned well but they will do for a nice comparison - perfect light, same conditions. http://www.picturepush.com/public/1972283 - also would like to point out that not all the pictures in the review seem to have to same quality - some are blurred but that might be caused bu some smudges on the lens sos I picked the perfect one... yeah and don't forget to double-click the photo - check out the foliage and details and noise-levels overall. If this had a xeon flash....

> In reply to GS @ 2009-07-13 19:45 from mIpW - click to readI understand reviews of features phones may be boring to some BUT these boring features phones have a much broader appeal with the corresponding 10-100 times larger sales figures.

I applaud GSM arena for reviewing phones people are buying. rather than confining themselves to just those that some dream of owning.

I personally find massive touchscreen phones phones that barely fit into ones pocket to be of little to no use. thus I find reviews of the mid/low cost handsets that most people use to be much more interesting. there's already plenty of emphasis placed upon these style of handsets.

Great review. Having owned this phone for 3 weeks, I agree with pretty much everything you have said.
