HTC Magic review: Practical magic - read the full textA cool looking touchscreen carrying a new mobile OS was enough to get the attention of even the most hardened of them techies last time we checked. This review misses out some key issues. a) Does it multi-task? (Try finding that out on Google.) b) The lack of a 3.5mm jack (fixed with the Hero) is a massive error for a device designed to bring Android to the masses. BTW, having played with a Magic, it is a nice phone and the GUI is in some ways, better than a certain other touch screen device. But it would be nice to know if it has proper multi-tasking.

You might want to know, not all of the features on this version of the Magic will be found on all other Magics. The keyboard, the smart dialer, the Camera/Camcorder, and Teeter, are all HTC features, and so will not be found on the 'with Google' phones.

About the search button that you mentioned on Page 3, it was on the G1 as well, but it was one of the keyboard buttons. I guess they moved it to the front of the phone because they removed the keyboard.
