Motorola MILESTONE review: Hello Droid

Though i generally like GSMArena's reviews, i find something strange in this one in the sense that everything is in comparison only with other Android phones.. like best in Android phones so far, or first in android phones so fa.....
Android sure is a great platform but is not the end of the world. They should be comparing features with all available stuff out there in the market and not only other androids..

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-30 00:55 from MfxY - click to readit is because symbian phones were sold even before the iphone.. and the symbian os is in to so many kinds of phone with so many kinds of versions.. were talking about smartphones in here.. android powered smartphone vs. symbian smartphone.. haha.. no chance.. lets see how the n900 sales would go.. igues not many will buy that sluggish crap.. and talk about the thousands of apps in the apps store you'll never get bored of it.. much like the iphone..

Motorola Milestone reboots randomly anytime of the day. Please don't get this phone :-( We should consider class action against Motorola, they should sell off their mobile business. Their weakness in software cost them their mobile business. No one in my country wants a Motorola phone. I trusted them with my hard earn cash but got a sub-quality phone by them.

Are you weird to compare a low end crappy LG gw620 Eve with such an high end handset?
Eve with a low resolution resistiv screen and the well known hidden and worse support by lg!
I hate them so much for making such stupid phones with this buggy s-class ui! And everything else too

I had the chance to test it for a day and it's truly great.
Motorola should be proud of what they achieved with this.

I can't speak to other handsets, but the eve is about as good a phone as I'VE ever used!!
Its ridiculous that it hasn't gotten more attention than it has! Let me tell you that this is one well made device that is really well priced (in Canada at least). It deserves significantly more attention than it has gotten - gsmarena should be embarassed to have overlooked this phone!!
I thought gsmarena was more of an authority than that - guess its a shame the eve doesn't have nokia or sony ericsson branded on it!

Thankfully LG Eve is under the radar!
LG is the biggest crap which exists in the world!
No phone ever dissapointed me that way LG did with the LG KS20 and the Arena!
They build worse Handsets!

umm... LG EVE!?
It was released barely 1 week after the Milestone/droid!
resistive TFT and 528mhz cpu!
if you can get over the resistive screen, the EVE is a great little android phone!
LG is in the process of porting android 1.6 to it, which should make porting 2.1 to it significantly easier.
I cant believe how under the radar the EVE is!!!

I got my Milestone yesterday! I went three times to my store to get one and I live in a big city it was ridiculous...
But now!!!! It's sooo amazing! I love it!
I understand the Android hype! It's great!
I have a LG KM900 Arena too and when I compare them the Arena looks like cheapy crap! Realy not like the 339Euros I paid for it!
And the Milestone! Perfect design (in my opinion) Perfect construction (until now) and realy realy fast! I Love it!
I read sth that youu can overdrive the cpu up to 1,3 Ghz realy astonishing^^
All I want to say great phone! Motorola! Never buy LG it's crap!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-30 00:55 from MfxY - click to readI think you misunderstood. Android is still in its infancy, so it doesn't stand a chance against Symbian in terms of sales alone. However, for an ailing company like Motorola, about 1 million+ units sold is already a miracle for them.
And comparing Android to Symbian in terms of performance, Android has the edge of customizable software, lots of 3rd party applications, and extensive support across multiple companies. Soon, Android might be the industry leader in phone operating systems.
