Google Nexus One review: Firstborn - read the full textAll droids are equal but some droids are more equal than others. Google it. You’ll get the Nexus One. There are around 50 smartphones and tablets running Android today. That’s right, out of all the offspring they fathered with the Open Handset Alliance...

Actually the video capture frame rate is max at 26fps in good light condition and 19fps in poor light condition.

Wow so many have no clue what they are saying here. Desire has no divx. Legend has a 600mhz CPU. Nexus has ota over desire. Anyway nexus is great piece of art.

i don't know if its just in the video but the Smoothness of the Ui isn't perfect

its still "Slow" motionish

the same thing was on the Desire

but the strange thing in on the LEGEND things where perfect and smooth as hell when scrolling the Homescreens etc..

HAS noone else noticed? GSMarena please can you (when you get you're hold on a LEGEND and DESIRE) and you guys compare each of the phones in UI smoothness

i don't know why but i guess the 1GHZ on the Desire and Nexus need some more finishing on the software side

the LEGEND with only 800Mgz probably won't be as fast on other things but in smoothness for ui is was deff better

Thanks GSMarena great review like always

later guys

Is it better then Milestone?
Nexus One has only 65k against the 16mio. of the Milestone.
A lower Resolution 384k against 410k pixel
No Hardware Keyboard
But a 1Ghz Cpu and a lot more Ram and of course Amoled.
But I dont reegred buying the Milestone good device! I hope the support keeps up good:)

Been using it for 2 weeks now and i will only mention the bad things on it (in my point of viw of course):
1- Media playback - no equalizer. No music info sent by BT AD2P, only music sound and remote control.
2- Bluetooth - No modem (man i really need this to use internet on my Tomtom for trafic and radars updates and also for my laptop - the phone has a great web browser but big screen and flash still a plus)
3- No sync with your local outlook - had to take 3 precious hours to find how to convert, convert and fix all contacts information.
4- sometimes when the screen is not responsive i have to lock and unlock the screen and it works normal back again.
5- USB - again no modem here. No MTP (music transfer profile) to use as a music flashdrive - well you have to dismount the usb but when you receive something that needs to use the micro SD it gives you an error. No picture bridge option.
6- GPS - No free navigation to europe
7- SIM - no SIM contacts management (only SMS as far I know). No special SIM features content (i have a special menu from Orange-France and is not available anywhere)

I would prefer HTC desire over this because of:
- Radio
- Optical trackpad
- Dolby
- Divx
- Better RAM 576mb
- I hate touch sensitive buttons
- looks better

Great review the Nexus One is pretty sweet and now rumors of it coming to Verizon makes me wish I waited a bit longer before I got the Droid lol.

I really get tired of reviews listing the lack of flash as a disadvantage. How many phones out there actually have flash? 2? 3? If that many. You aren't missing a damn thing without flash.

I've used this phone for a short period in Canada. It's very good, but its 3G is not compatible with Rogers, so for internet you have obly EDGE. Its build quality is really very good.
