heres my beef.its meant to be a high phone. so no 8 meg cam.no xenon flash.
it looks good. if your paying that much you should have a lot more. to me its just a S5600 with android. and a 4" screen.oh at least S5600 has a flash.
will stick with my Omnia HD as that is sooo much better.

well its that high end it has no xenon flash oops big mistake. granted its amazing looking phone at everything else. shame it cant compete with omnia hd.
Omnia HD is still the best samsung mobile.does eveything in glorious HD, and the only thing that it doesnt beat the iphone for is apps.
shame

> In reply to blaah.. @ 2010-04-29 21:48 from mh@w - click to readHTC is so cheap they didn't put in flashes on their subpar quality so-called cameras until just recently. The plastic is shiny and cheap making you feel that your $700 dollar phone is a Chinese knockoff. Samsung is no better, albeit with something under the hood, it is still not anything revolutionary. The ugly UI of Samsung is too over tacky and hello kitty cheasy Asain, but in a communist China way not a nice perfectionist Japanese way. Given that HTC has appealing UI's they look like they would do anything to save a penny, which consumers should reject before it becomes the standard rather than prevalent.
Brands cannot be sterotyped. Certain classes, flagship, camera phones, and Andriod/WinMo etc. of a certain manufacturer can.
I have a Sony Ericsson X10, no lag at all because it is Android with a 1Ghz Snap Dag-gan. If you would have it be Widowz Mobile it would be laggier than all hell. Heck my Samsung Omnia II was so horrendously lagged I almost bashed it. Not to mention I couldn't adjust setting like on other WinMo phones cause of TouchWiz 2.0, which slowed it to the point of brick status with the look of a bubble tea house in the ghetto. So it isn't Samsung, HTC, SE, and Nokia, its OS, specs and build that kill the lag.
BTW asthetics are very important two.

Samsung might have good hardware and specs, but the design and esthetic components are utter trash. Not to mention the sick TouchWiz UI; a overbloated, laggy, functionless, unremovable, and visually repulsive UI shell to destroy any sense of the phones worth. Stay away from Samsung and teach them to start building with class, quality, and esthetics.

> In reply to SE 2010 @ 2010-04-24 19:17 from kJqe - click to read"There is no other professional company ( Nokia - Sony Ericsson - Motoralla - LG - HTC ) that would such a big huge mistake!!" Nokia is charging for name, SE devices lag and always lack something important + they are overpriced. LG, u are lucky if your lg lasts longer than one day! HTC and samsung ftw.

Hey guys! Amazing phone, no doubt! I am still hanged between Desire and Galaxy S. I believe HTC will keep sending updates for Desire, but what about Samsung? They don't have great reputation in this field. Do you have any info regarding their plans for updates , i.e. newer android versions?
Cheers!

I read you review, and you said that Galaxy S doesnt have TV-OUT.
Well, it does.
I can garantee that it works like a charm! the only downside is that its not HDMI...
And this phone, well, about 1 week ago i would buy the Desire, but now, number 1 is Galaxy S and its not even a final HW/SW!

if anyone is a letdown its sony ericsson for leaving multi touch out of the x10
I did not purchase the phone because of this
I will be purchasing the samsung galaxy S because it has multi-touch and 3x the graphics capabilities of the other snapdragon androids and the iphone 3gs
