Samsung I9000 Galaxy S vs. Apple iPhone 4: Collision course - read the full textIt’s not like you’re out of options. Here’s one. Another one would be to get a friend’s iPhone 4 and another friend’s Galaxy S, put them on a table, close your eyes and… tell your friends to bugger off. Or you can do it the old-fashioned way. Flip a what...

Very nice
I want to be able to drop and drag music and video files.
I want to be able to use my MicroSD card
I want to be able to use miniUSB
I want a radio
I want reception and not fake software hiding the issues

As Steve doesn't like us to want this stuff, i really do want it.

Although i am a iphone hater and a samsung i8910 user, i believe this is a very biased review. Gsmarena gave very low points to the iphone. The iphone should have won in many occasions. I am very disappointing with this review as it does not give a correct result on each topic. Looks like iphone was targeted for all it's slightly weak points and was over exaggerated! Anyways die iphone!

I do find that the review is rather incomplete. The lack of a flash on the Galaxy S would definitely make me want to test photos in low light conditions. It's interesting that Samsung made the decision to not include the flash. I have heard that it is supposed to work fairly well without a flash, but I would like to actually see it in action.

The GPS issues on the Samsung is a valid issue that some have brought up. I would have like to see it tested as well as one of the things important to me on a smartphone is the GPS. I personally didn't know about it until the members here brought it up. I guess the Galaxy S's GPS issues isn't as widely known as the iPhone's antenna issues. Still, I would expect the reviewer to be fairly knowledgeable about such issue as I would deem this issue to be important.

A review of the battery life of both phones would have also been nice.

The omission of testing the cameras under low light conditions and the GPS issues does make the review somewhat incomplete. Everyone has personal preferences about what aspects of a smartphone is important to them and will highlight them. Still being more complete would make this review seem more fair.

Although Apple had an early start with that Ip4 thingy mijiggy, so too will Samsung, Nokia, HTC, have a great 2011 early start with some devices which will exceed, proceed Ip4 light years ahead into the future & leave it for dust as some overgrown piece a glass ornament in the mantle shelf. So too will Android & S^3 also exceed Apple. It will only be a matter of time before these other Soft entities open up their bowls with emerging markets, think Android App Store, Nokia Store, etc.. etc.. it's going to be a matter of time before Apple are lost in their "then" *small* App Store. Looking for a way out.

iPhone 4 is like watching a video of the best porn star. Samsung Galaxy S is like having sex with an average girl, she may not be the best porn star, but at least its practical.

> In reply to deep space bar @ 2010-08-07 00:07 from q{50 - click to readYes, this review is very biased towards galaxy indeed.  They did not even bother with the galaxy's maps/navigation issues and the ip4's very useful gyroscope.  But they took their sweet time to bring up ip4's antennagate.  They gave the ip4 1 point lead on design when it should've been more.  And again, they didn't bother with low light conditions for both photos and videos on the camera where the ip4 would've garnered more points.  Biased.

Yeah, that's the spirit. Anything Android or S^3 has the power to miraculously attract experts who know what they are doing with software & fix things y'know - actually for the better, *cough* that's more than I can say for the Iphad's, *cough*, oops I must of mis-prounounced there ..um sorry! Shhh - "whispers quietly" be careful the iphans are like some occult gang, you don't want to mess in Steve Jobs little part of his umpire or things get double jeopardy, his little garden of eden where all the people & flowers are the same with the same scripted manner ..haha OK.

Upgraded from iPhone 3G to Samsung Galaxy S. Got all the downloaded .avi files on the phone, no converting and messing around. Faultless!

What a biased review. Especially on the camera part. They tried so hard to focus on the ip4's camera weaknesses, and did not bother with taking pictures and videos in low light situations where galaxy would miserably fail, lol.

Also on their displays, over saturation of colors on the galaxy is less desirable than the natural looking colors on the ip4.

GSM Arena has been condemning the iphone4 and Apple. This biased review, althought trying to be subtle, is no surprise for me.
