Very nice photos from the N8. A bit more grain in the skies than I'm used to seeing (Well I do use a 5D!), but still as a grab 'n' go cam-on-a-'phone very, very nice. The video looked good too.
The screen size and resolution I can live with, and I like the metal bodied construction.
I may just have found my new 'phone.

Any Phone Nokia release now days gets really slagged down before the phones released,an the phone might just want setting up properly before images or videos are taken, these sets of phones are not bad at all from Nokia ,N8 an E7 for Business an Office people an C7 an C6 are for the Younger generation an will be a nice xmas present, hope now we do get a review about the N8 an help us to see if its worth paying the pre-order price,so hope gsmarena can give us review in the near future

The N8 takes better pictures than the pixon, and the video is better than the iPhone. Win!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-09-15 09:24 from 4TM9 - click to readfor 720p recording you don't need more than 2 MP camera but you still need processor, obviously iPhone4 800 MHZ (althought Apple lists it as 1GHZ,it is clocked due to recommendation from company which made chip but it can be overclocked to 1GHZ+,i read it on some site) brings advantage to it compared to 600 MHZ in N8

Iphone video choppy and blurry, reminds me of videos from 3.2 MP Nokia phones from 2005 like the N73. Iphone HD!? Yeah right! More like Horrible Definition.

N8 video dragged iPhone video to a corner, beat the iPhone 4 to death with dog stick then threw it in the city dump.

> In reply to kodn @ 2010-09-14 16:14 from sxtC - click to readThat is so lame. How can you say it's common sense to keep nHD resolution on a 4 inch display? Even the Samsung Galaxy S (480x800) doesn't have the best PPI for a 4 incher! Goddamn man! You're a little brown-noser aren't ya? The only reason Nokia will keep pumping nHD phones is because they developed the whole damn OS around that resolution, and if they would switch to a higher res, they would have to re-rewrite S^3.

> In reply to frt @ 2010-09-15 04:59 from M%yM - click to readI doubt it. The n8 video seems to have better color reproduction and more detail. The iphone video is smoother, but that's all.

> In reply to yeah @ 2010-09-15 05:21 from t7K4 - click to readCorrect me if I'm wrong but how can the N8 record surround sound when it only has one microphone? I'm pretty sure the N8 is mono as well unless it has multiple microphones.

> In reply to frt @ 2010-09-15 04:59 from M%yM - click to readi dont think so. it somewhat is focusing on the bicycle. maybe it is because of the sensor or something. if you see it again, the bicycle is more clearly detailed than other. also n8 video has more lively and great surround sound. im shocked that iphone 4 sound is mono

It's good to see that the C6-01 has a smooth interface. I tried to the same with my N97 and it was much slower, especially zooming into the photos. Interesting that the demo did not zoom into the photos too much. When I zoomed into my photos, I was able to zoom in a lot and it was a lot slower. I makes me suspect that those photos are of lower rez. I would have liked to see a demo of starting other apps.
