I am not that interested in pretty animations, or not having the "huge inconvenience" of having folders present. Rather give me excellent hardware.

gsmarena did fair
good cam and yeah good cam that's it. Nokia phones have been good in photo taking but still a slow sluggish symbian. Multitouch is laggy and the reviewer needs two touch to remove icon. The home screen is limited to three when ios and android can give 7. yet to judge sound quality of the handset.

GSMA, well done with the blind test.
I somehow think Android is holding SE and Sammy back. Will we ever see a cameraphone on Android that can be compared with its Symbian counterpart? Probably never, since Android is catching up in this field at the same pace as Symbian is maturing its UI (i.e. quite slow).

Ha ha I see all the Android and iPhone kiddies are already trying to make their presence felt here.
If you aren't interested in Nokia and Symbian then what are you even doing reading this review? checking out the competition? Getting nervous that your phone might not be the best like you have been trying to convince people? Concerned you fell for the great Apple marketing hype?
Can't wait to get my hands on a proper phone. Bring on the N8.

Why are you Gsm Arena so applaud Nokia? I agree, It has some great Hardware stuff, but Software is shit. Compare it to Android, iOs. You will see that Symbian is just a shit on a stick. Stop saying that it's soo cool. Nokia Sucks, and that's true.

same symbian crap with good camera, i remember phone implemented cameras, they were all weird, who wants to buy a non-user friendly device for just bigger lens ?
i'll go for android or iOS phones.

The N8 is really awesome... especially the camera...
But I will always use my HX5V over the N8, because you have more options and customizations like scene modes, shutter speed, aperture control etc...
And the optical zoom is really essential in photography (my opinion)...
But if you don't have/want a point&shoot, this is the way to go if you want to take great pictures on the go!!
