some times it works but if i type something i get something. as i have warentty period i went sony ericsone service center without understanding the problem they said it's a software problem and reinstanlled software and as it's works some times it worked on that day. they send me back without fixing the problem. I heard that for touch screen we should not go for sony ericsson. if ur opting for touch screen go for samsony/apple iphone

Dear GSMArena team,
The specs sheet on your site says Android 1.6 (Donut) upgradable to 2.3, but SE gave only 2.1 update for this phone.
I think you mean the phone is capable but SE doesnt understand. Anyway i rooted to 2.3.3 (CM7) but now gone to Floyo 2.2 (Racht). The phone si really capable but SE does not have the confidence in their own hardware.
Last time I buy a SE phone but I love the rooted X8.

i just bought the xperia x8 a while ago.. the screen is too dark even at the highest setting of brightness.. pls help..i want to make it very bright... thanks..

I was disgusted with the 1.6 Donut and Eclair slightly better. SE online support is lousy. But you got nothing to loose guys. X8 is nothing less then a Ferrari with a Lada engine. Root it and install Gingerbread 2.3. Then u can flash this phone in front of any HTC or Galaxy. After rooting you get 212MB internal memory and X8 can clock up speeds by 25-30% (but at the cost of battery life). Now I love my X8, runs v stable on Android 2.3 Cyanogenmod

X8 gets bluetooth function after upgrading 2 android 2.1. D sony website says i cn send files bt my question is "can i receive files via bluetooth??" after upgrading to android 2.1

Who ever gets this phone should be laughed at. There is no reason to buy it when there is so much better out there.

GSM Arena should come with newer review of X8 with 2.1.
coz my new X8 with 2.1 is way superior than wht GSM Arena is saying..

It's not an exceptional Android smartphone. But for it's price, it's OK and usable. Screen size 3" is larger than Samsung's similarly priced droid phone, and with better resolution too.

Biggest negative is it's size. A little small for my hands, but most feature I need is there. Aside from that, it's a good value droid phone.

x8 is good looking phone and all work are good but camera is 3.2 mg but there is no zooming option for photo and also when video record there is no pause option .all in one camera is nt good
