HTC HD7 review: Dim the lights - read the full textThere’s no such thing as a small WP7 phone. However, 4.3 inches of screen estate are really something else. The best case scenario: the HTC HD7 is the phone you’ve been waiting for. The worst case scenario: it’s too big to fail. The HTC HD7 was inevitable...

I have owned the HD7 for a couple of weeks now and I am impressed with the phone. Infact it is now a complete part of my life as my N97 was.
WP7 has its limitations.
HTC HD7 has its hardware limitations.
iPhone friends DO look twice in admiration.
I feel really good when I hold this phone.
Manage the battery and it lasts well.
Embrace Live and nothing will be lost, ever.

Awesome.

In your video and audio section you say the flaw of the phone when watching movies is that the loudspeaker is on the back and you cannot hear it and speakers around the display would be better...

Thats poor reviewing. The phone DOES have 2 speakers on the front. One above screen and one below. When you activate Dolby Surround or SRS then all 3 speakers play.

More effort next time please.

@alex You're Right. HD7 is a hell of a phone. When I had my HD7 i thought it would underdog for DESIRE HD but after I used it. It's Simply Amazing. Super Fast and Super SMooth. I get sick of what some others say that HD7 has some kind of flaws or something except for the death grip that tmobile hd7 has. But mine. It is totally awesome

I've had this phone for about 3 days now and it is AMAZING, the UI is great and very quick the design of the phone is beautiful and it works amazingly. There is no doubt that there is an update coming in 2011 with the basics like copy + paste which will improve the system. Who ever said that symbol is batter is an idiot. I had a symbian phone for about 4 months and got incredibly bored and limited. Wp7 Market place is slowly getting a lot of good aps and the htc hub is a nice add on. The screen size is great and fits straight into my pocket. The screen is a great standard and compare it to blackberry screens or iPhone 3GS its amazingly clear
I love my htc hd7 and I'm glad I choose it Over Samsung omnia 7, Android and iPhone !! :)

In the "Organizing your day with WP7" section you mentioned that you can't side-swipe to switch agenda and day in calendar; however this is not true, you can switch by side-swiping over the title (where is says agenda/day).

There is also an HTC full featured youtube app that is worth a mention.

I think it is a really easy and functional phone to use. It is fast and has some entertaining features. The phone comes preset to a dim screen setting so if you turn up the brightness, it looks at least as good as other phones.

Some people are just too much. A smartphone cannot replace a laptop, much more a desktop. I am not a businessman, but I would rather use my laptop or desktop computer when doing heavy web browsing, blogging, documentation, projects, and emails. How much more if I am a businessman?

So what's the selling point of this device? It's big screen for watching videos? Is that the reason why people buy a smartphone? Last time I checked, a big screen is the selling point of HDTV's, not phones.

Let's be fair, if Nokia produced a phone with so many, many severe limitations and short-falls, there will be hell to pay. Funny enough when HTC, iPhone and others do it there is mild reaction, even praise. The anti-Nokia bias is really getting out of hand lately and should be addressed in forums like these. Hat off to GSM Arena who did just that when the first reviews of the N8, stating clearly that other reviewers were subjective and unfair.
