Waiting eagerly for the full review. Also, I hope the review takes the current pricing into consideration, not the ridiculous launch pricing.

For example, the SII is priced at Rs29-31k in India, while the Galaxy R is Rs21k
See the price difference? by sacrificing the SuperAmolED display, Camera and trading for Tegra2, we are getting a 30% discount!! Awesome deal this phone!

How strange. The Galaxy S2 sold in Europe in Spring had a 8 MPpx camera (just checked mine). Why falling back to 5 Mpx for this version?

> In reply to rahulsuneja @ 2011-07-26 18:05 from bCfu - click to readSamsung did not copy Apple. It was the other way around. Often people quote the Samsung F700, which came out a in Feb 2007, 4 months before Apple's first iPhone in June 2007. Apple fans were quick to rebuke this, saying that while iPhone's release was in June 2007, it was first revealed by Steve Jobs in January 2007. This is correct.

However, even disregarding the ridiculous hypothesis that for Samsung to have "copied" Apple (they would have to have come up with a product with a copied design in just one month) Apple fans have curiously avoided the fact that in **August 2006**, 4 months before the iPhone was even first mentioned, Samsung's SGH-Z610 was already with the FCC for approval - not just submitted - but CLEARED by the FCC.

See the following site for a shot of the Samsung SGH-Z610:
http://techtickerblog.com/2006...music-phone/

Look at the design of the Z610 - can you see that it already has the now familiar circular physical button at the front, with a triangular "play" icon in the button? Compare that to how the iPhone and iPod Touch has a square (instead of a triangle) in the circular button. So who's actually the plagiarizer? Certainly not Samsung.

Also note how the Z610 has two additional buttons flanking the middle one - similar to how the Galaxy S II now looks like. From these records even idiots can tell that the current Samsung products were evolved from their 2006 Z610's design instead of Apple's 2007 copy.

The only way Samsung could have known how Apple's design was like would be if the iPhone design was released before August 2006, and historical records has shown that Steve Job is very tight lipped about unreleased products and that could never be the case.

Apple is the copycat in this case. End of story.

What's wrong with Samsung's Design Department? Designs that are so much iphone-like (even if samsung gets away with Patent-Suits, their phones still look like iphones!!).. Moreover, the same basic design is seen in almost all their models!!
Also, people buy samsung for the config. & specs. And samsung is providing all those specs, with cheap plastic bodies at cheaper rates. Look at HTC with those Alumunium Unibody Designs!! Why samsung? Why?
