I am about to get one of these in 2015, not because its cheep but because its a phone that Sony Ericsson discontinued a little while after making. I need to know if this phone can support whats app even if its on the Symbian s60 platform. Will i be able to download a customized os to use on this phone or more over change the os over to android?

Watched the video showing the UI and am unimpressed with it. Sure, it looks a lot like Android, but it's sluggish.

Also, when SE touts it as an SNS fiend, the most obvious things to get right would be the browser, good FB and Twitter clients and lastly, above average connectivity. Well, most of them don't seem to have much attention lavished on in case of the Txt Pro.
SE could learn something from HTC about SNS friendly phones. Look at the ChaCha for instance. I'm not comparing the specs, UI (the Txt would lose) or the form factor but I'm talking about the innovativeness. The FB button's kind of useful and a USP for it. Does the Txt Pro boast of anything like this? No. It's just a sluggish feature phone with a slideout QWERTY keyboard.
SE used to be quite innovative back in its heydays but not anymore.

I'd still get an X10 Mini Pro instead of this... The price will probably not be that different, and the X10 Mini Pro runs Android and can do so much more so much faster...
