very bad signal for this phone...
sometimes sms comes late or the other sim has network problem..
recently i had signal problem for both sim...
there's no network problem because i try other phone when my x101 has no signal...
very bad phone if you want a dual sim function

- No, this phone doesn't restart.

- Yes, signals sometimes die for a few seconds, only experienced this twice.

- No, its not unstable, its very stable and reliable apart from the signal issue, its been rock solid.

- The .mp3 player is very basic but it does the job.

If you have problems, I'd blame your network provider first. I'm also in Australia, so if you want a cheap no nonsense dual-sim phone, this is a very good option. This is now my main phone. Solid and durable.

hey guyez, i have used this phone for 8 months. I have faced advantages & disadvantages.
Advantages :
1. Its stylish ,slim & handy.
2.its reliable & cost effective.
Dis-advantages :
1. U can face frequent network prob.
2. If u are used to texting a lot,u'll face prob like, sms wont come to ur mobile,bt u can send sms. Its disgustng because u can't even notice sms aren't coming to ur phn.
In fine,nokia X1 is very good,nokia sholud concentrate on its probs. :)

it is not suitable for all sim card..i have one bangal sim..when i am in outside kolkata ,then it is fine...but when i am in kolkata,then show 'check operator service' at the time of outgoing call.i am unable to call any where from kolkata using bengal sim

so far i only see those x1-01 made in india, the battery (bl-5j) is made in china though, charger is from india and headset from vietnam... quite a mix of country of manufacture in one package...

had it for a few months, so far did experience the no signal syndrome once in a few hours... battery couldn't hold as what Nokia claims, i got greeted by a low battery warning even before a month when i left the phone aside after a full charge...
the voice volume is a bit soft though, at times can barely hear what the other party is saying during a call...

only bonus is the build in speaker is pretty loud and clear, ringtones can be really loud, depending on the file (bitrate an type of sound/music)... music playback sound quality is surprisingly good, just plug in a good earphone/headphone/speaker system to hear, no equalizer is a down side but not necessary...

so far am quite happy with the phone, dropped it a few times (i work in a rough environment), it still works... it serves me well as a secondary phone and mp3 player/fm radio... on average, a full charge can survive me 4 days on heavy usage...

its basically a simple basic phone for those who just wants a phone with extras (mp3,torch,dual sim)...

I will buy this phone within this month, please tell me if I should go for the one made in China or India. Which one doesn't have restart, hanging or no signal problems? Thank you.

I tried this phone with 32 gb card and voila it worked. Now I use it as portable music player. With decent headphone excellent sound quality with very good battery.Even onboard speaker is good. Also plays FM with good reception. And if 32 gb is not enough it supports hotswapping of cards. External keys for play control are very helpful.

I got this phone last week and saw all comment also,but i think in cheap price Nokia release excellent phone with Lovely sound and soft keypad even sexy look....Good phone go for it.
good battery backup also

Is it really possible to receive phone calls on any sim card in standby? According the User manual it seems it is NOT possible:
Excerpt from the manual (look at the last option):
Set which SIM card to use
You can set which SIM card to use for outgoing calls or messages. If you name your SIM
cards, you can see at a glance which is, for example, for work and which is for personal
use.
Select Menu > Settings > Dual SIM settings.
1 Select from the following:
Default SIM for calls — Set which SIM card to use for outgoing calls.
Default SIM for msgs — Set which SIM card to use for outgoing messages.
Standby mode — Set which SIM card to be active for all incoming and outgoing
communications.


Does it mean only one active sim can receive phone call and the other can not in standby ?

Hi All,

Nokia one of the worst phone available in market now X1-01, Few Features

Restart Automatically
Excellent Network Problem, Both signal lost, even when signal is weak it show as being lost dump phone
display too bad
MP3 Player without fast forwarding
Many small features not implemented as available in other vendor

Only good thing is looks good

Overall a good phone.It was very cheap but for its functions the price its fair.The signal is strong but this may vary because of the network provider.Its small but it feels good in hand.The reception is good,clear and loud.Of course the loudspeaker screms like crazy its very loud.The menu its basic but functional in full.As a music player its ok,with some god earphones its own are not very performing.Be careful tho because doesn't support all.It lacks the volume buttons,the 2 and 4 keys on the keypad does that.No video video player so don't get excited.Now the display,its small and the quality its poor,no viewing angles,just look straight at it.The big plus its battery life,huge.So its very good dual phone with very long battery life very good as a basic phone just for talking.

Just got it, well it lacks of multimedia and data funktions, but its still very nice for a 2sim phone also as a mp3 player. To bad had to buy sepperate microsd reader but it costed just 3dollars so no biggy. The phone itself is very cheap, bought it with a 2year warranty for 150litai, thats about 60dollars!
