Dont take this phone...total waste of money....it hangs every now and then....and 5 times a day it stops receiving signal from ur service provider and thn u hv to restart ur ph..and restart takes an eternity....GPS has its own will, may work may not work....Battery is a mockery.it takes 3-4 hrs to charge it and lesser thn that for getting it discharged....

just bought my new phone last night, many people are also falling in line just to have a phone like this. i think this phone is the best seller among the rest. lucky am i to have a jelly case and a screen protecter wc is already available in the market.
weak points of this phone for me,
1.the picture w/c could be set as wallpaper doest fit the screen well and it appears too large because when you want to select a picture and for you to use it as a wallpaper, it automatically commands you to crop the picture.
2.it doesnt support facebook zero on this phone.
3.ringtones couldnt be set as message alert tones, the phone has its default tones for you to choose.
4.the video is not that good and the camera also.
5.sound quality without earphones are not that audible.
good points:
1.responsive touchscreen w/c is so cool for me.
2.nice android phone w/c has a good value for money.
3.you can set your messaging keypad in two ways either qwerty keys or the usual keys we use like in some nokia phones.
4.may apps to install.
5.beautiful design and not that bulky to carry.
6.you can set the songs you have as ringtone.
7.good camerA only when u use it daytime, on in good lighting conditions.
8.cool messaging, chatbox type.
9.easy to use even without a manual, its for you to explore the settings of this phone.
10.all in all its a good phone, for a good price as my first android phone.
haha.thats all. maybe i'll post again after a week from now. i just need to find some other things that this phone can do.

Touch sensitiveness is great and it runs on gingerbread.Almost all games and applications of Android market runs on this.
I own the same, and I like each and everything about this phone.And actually I like the screen pretty much even if it is low resolution. It is bright and clear.Browsing is also quite decent .

> In reply to kumarsk @ 2011-11-04 19:47 from U@LQ - click to readwell i donno the reason for ur anger, bt except the screen size rest everything is quite good for this entry level phone. n yes the processor is quite good, no hangs and lags at all, very smooth. touch sensitivity is gr8. i'd rather say if u r nt camera crazy ie if u dont need a brilliant camera and display i wld say paying 4-5k/- additionally for Lg or HTC or any other mobile is nt worth. this phone is more than enough to suffice your needs, unless u have extra money to spend.

samsung galaxy y is a joke if u comparing with
great smartphones
like lg p500 ,p690
my opinion is LG OPTIMUS NET
and galaxy y is not a smartphone its a
multimedia phone ugly screen,low 256mb
ram,old overclock processor,poor
performance ,2mp camera for smartphone this
a big joke hahaahaha Samsung is not good for
entry level smartphones user
Samsung fans please don't feel bad but this is
real believe or not
