Nokia 701 review: Belles and whistles - read the full textSymbian Belle is on the march and the leader of the pack is the Nokia 701. It busts out the big guns - a 1,000 nit floodlight of a screen, a fast, modern processor and an up-to-the-minute connectivity package, complete with NFC. If you're experiencing a deja vu, rest assured...

This nokia belle has one major flaw, which I didnt see in the review,
the music player sorts all the albums with artists, Imagine you have "2011 Billboard Top 100", then it will display 100 artists with same album name instead of one album,
you suck nokia

After losing my faith in Nokia after purchasing an E6, I've now moved onto the 701 and would like to say my faith has been fully restored. Being my first full-touchscreen phone; I could not be happier. It looks great, works exceptionally well and has the good build that Nokia is known for. Too many people harp on about Symbian being dead, and Android and Apple being the best alternatives. Don't listen to them - if you're used to Nokia, then the latest OS Belle is brilliant - and has many USEFUL applications. At the end of the day it's a phone, so we shouldn't lose site of that. And as far as the 701 goes, it's a bloody good one. Well done Nokia.

I have bought this cellphone two weeks back and I am quite satisfied with its performance.

The problems reported by other users such as random restart, bluetooth issue etc..I have not face any of them. Infact it very much stable, fluid.

Call quality, audio quality for music, camera pics are all quite awesome and when I hold it in hand it gives quite sturdy feeling.

Thumbs UP!!! Go for it.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-11-15 00:18 from svk% - click to readAgreed. But people are too dumb to realize the benefits of full focus. Look at gsmarena themselves, they didn't even enter one of these phones to their so-called "8MP shootout". Open the video comparison tool on gsmarena. Compare the oh-so-hyped Galaxy s2 720p video screenshot with the E7, X7, C6-01 or 701. The s2 can't even hold a candle to them.

> In reply to ataul @ 2011-11-05 17:26 from 2CYy - click to readIt isn't fixed focus. It's full focus. Bear in mind that full focus videos come out excellent. As quoted on many websites, the c7 videos come out better than n8 ones, and n8 is supposed to outdo even 1080p video recorders. Full focus also captures distant shots better than autofocus. Just in very close range, it fails. And performs mediocre in low light. But dual leds are there to help you out. Google it.
