its a good looking phone but its battery a little bit disappointed me and its features are assum so go and buy it
Interesting that it needed all manufacturers of hardware except apple to gang up together to oust only one manufacturer "Nokia" off the reign.
You wrote the following about voice dialing:
"Bear in mind too, that if you have multiple numbers assigned to a contact, the system will either dial the default number or the first in the list."
I have an C7 with Anna, and I can get it to call other numbers than the default one. If I have a contact with multiple numbers and have chosen the predefined work and home fields for the numbers for example, then I can make it call the work number by saying contact name - work.
Is this something that has been removed?
The specifications of the phones you've listed as alternatives don't even come within a mile radius of 701's.
third class phone from nokia i am using it..nd niether der is any re sale value of n701..nd copy of c7..nd oval shape i hate it.
Your Comment: The 701 can be charged off microUSB, so we don't know why Nokia used an old-school charger - microUSB chargers have the advantage of being compatible with other gadgets too.
Reason: The phone has USB OTG. So if you are viewing a video off your USB, large downloads through your portable Flash drive.....you do not need to stop the task, but charge through the 2mm port
Verdict: gsmarena is a good website, but improve your review with more intelligent thinking
New device by Nokia is now official:
looks just like the C7 specifications to me
Do you mind to perform your usual battery life test, as in the HTC Desires S review.
In the Nokia 701 one, you just quote the technical statements from Nokia, I'd like to get the truth from you, as I expect within each phone review you do.
I'm wondering which one will best suit my needs between Desire S and 701. the main parameters were alloy body and scratch resistant display, lowest SAR and great battery life.
Many thanks for your great help.
other disadvantages-battery is not business class, nokia clear black display is missing,3.7 inch screen and 1 gb ram is also missing.
far better than I thought Symbian were. I get one for my boy now. Nokia 700 will be perfect with the handy size
hkr, 18 Oct 2011lol i think the last time you used a symbian device was during in 2008s. I had no problems with youtube on my n95 8gb.
CondriX, 18 Oct 2011Youtube is working fine in the native browser, but just at 360p. Or you could switch to play o... moreWth does just mean? 360p = nhd (640 x 360) which is the exact same resolution as any symbian device. If you were to play 720p at 1:1 on a Symbian device you'd only be able to watch 1/4 of the action. Talk about a glorious waste of bandwidth!
you can stream all videos from any sites upto 360p resoultion with flash lite
Just a note to gsmarena team
"The phone rests down on the camera, perhaps making the lens prone to scratches."
But the lens is also covered with gorilla glass, as are all new symbians, i believe
i dont reall know what phones to use anymore everything is just freaking complicated i ave been using nokia all my life and they have never really disappointed me only that they keep producing new phone i dont like X7 but i would like any nokia phone with 4 inch amoled screen and a wonderful browser..........i think i should try HTC for the first time because its really tempting, the reviews are very good..i would have wanted an iphone but the person that motivated me to buy it is dead, steve jobs was a great guy but he is a dead guy naw.....what i really want is a nokia phone that has everything even better than the HTC sensation XE plz and thanks
