"due to the agressive noise reduction algorithm much of the detail is lost."

That's typical from Sony... Even from their point-and-shoot digicams...

I was hoping that SE would more sony technology like megabass or clear bass technology. That would seperate this phone from the others and will make more atractive to our audio audience.
I still remember my SE w810i with megabass, that blew away all the other non SE walkman phones.

I love the idea of a walkman phone. I hope the audio is better than the iphone over a headset.

The new android marketplace is excellent!

"Loudspeaker has below average performance" - are you sure that this isn't a copy and paste error from another review GSMArena? In the audio section you gave it "very good" for loudspeaker performance.

PS: once again, for many of us "poor viewing angles" has a privacy advantage, not disadvantage.

GSMARENA, please at every audio test make put a value of headphones power ouput in mw. For example ipod touch 4th gen. and iphone 4 have around 2x32 mw output power. sony walkman have 2x5 mw power output. it means sony cannot drive big headphones and street noise remains. many audiophiles like me are interested in a strong and clear audio output, so the power of heaphones output in mw is the most important value on the street walk

that review seem to be copy and paste of the Xperia Mini review even in some part u forget to change the device name ex ( As for text input, the Xperia mini offers just the default ) page 4, and more like that, and in the beginning of the review one of the disadvantages is the loudspeaker performance is below average but when u go deep in the review they say "The Live with Walkman snatched a Very Good mark with xLOUD on and Good with xLOUD off" score 78.1, which one i should go with, or that because they just copy the text from the Xperia Mini, shame gsmarena after waiting all that time am little disappointed, but any way thanks

Thats a crap effort from sony.

The W960 Was released in 2007 with a 208Mhz processor and had a better music experience than this phone.

I've not seen any decent music-based android phones. I hope HTC can bring it back with Beats but I'm not holding my breath...

The best I've managed to get so far is Winamp with the widget.
